Also, this is one of my favorite times of year for beers - me and my roomate are working on our second case of Sierra's Celebration. Anchor's Holiday Ale is out as well and tasty as usual. Double Bas is a little mellower for 2011, and I am digging it.

Seasonal Barrel Aged Impy Stout, can't remember what it costs - friend shared it with me. I'd say probably $10-15 a bottle, and not available in TX.

you may be able to catch some at a bottleshare somewhere, I believe they gather occasionally at Freetail before Freetail events. I'd check the beer advocate forums.

Thoughts on the Shiner Oktoberfest? I couldn't help but compare it directly with Sam Adams Oktoberfest...and it lost. Still wasn't bad though.

I generally stay away from Shiner and Sam Adams, but I am a fan of Live Oak's Oaktoberfest.

This is the best Chocolate Stout I've had.. they used to sell it at Specs in Beaumont and those 4 got me pretty buzzed... aren't they 10%?

I miss those, they stopped selling them there for some reason.
