In a world with lighters, hydraulics and heart surgery if one really believes that a man hung out in a whale, walked on water, chilled in a furnace, was handed down codes of law via a direct conversation with God, transposed demons from people into pigs or any other story of absolute nonsense that fills the Bible then I don't think you are willing to see the obvious truth.

Who is the one who determines whether or not our spiritual eyes are open? How about those religions that differ from yours, but rely on the same scriptures? Do their spiritual eyes become color blind? Are yours the only spiritual eyes that see truth?
There are far too many impossibilities with your religion, and in lieu of just picking one and asking an en y that one could not currently believe in without the evidence that's hidden within the scripture (catch 22), many like me have decided that the best answer is that all of the religions are bunk. The only truths are those that we can know and understand. All else is supposition and one is as good as the other when reason and logic, as prima facie standards, are discarded.
I'm not taking away their rights. Gay people can get married. Just not with other gay people.
