That really is a joke ... there aren't many centers in the NBA right now that one could compare with the Admiral in his prime. Oden could be a decent back up, but with his injury history he will never be a franchise player ...

I think that Oden will be more like Bill Walton - a career plagued with injuries, but he will have a couple of good years and make a big impact perhaps helping a team win a championship.
Having said that, the Spurs have no chance of getting him, the Blazer will match any offer.

This is pretty dumb comparision. David was one of the best players of all time and easily in the top 50 while Oden has done virtually nothing at the NBA level. I really like Oden but who knows if he will ever be healthy.

When you get right down to it, guys like David Robinson are pretty much available in any year's NBA draft. It's easy to find 7 footers who can put up 25/12/3/1.4/3.3 at age 30, while shooting 52% from the floor and 76% from the line.
