    Picking up either:
    Marc Gasol
    or
    Nene Hilario

    Would be a significant improvement defensively for the Spurs... their addition would singlehandedly move the Spurs from borderline pretenders to contenders... Oddly enough, neither are great 1-on-1 defenders - what they provide are 7 foot bodies that are hard to move off the block, and mobile enough to get a block here and there... Timmy could certainly use that type of help...

    I just don't think we have enough assets (or can shed enough salaries) to get them here... unless of course they wanted to play here...

    Some team is going to offer him $10+M as a starting salary. Even with the new CBA, owners are going to find ways to hand out ridiculous contracts.

    Yes, the Spurs should make sure to commit all their money to Gasol so Memphis can match it with 60 seconds to go before the deadline, leaving the Spurs with nothing. I really didn't get enough face ing of the Spurs from the Grizzlies during the playoffs.
