    Deron not signing the extension doesn't mean he wants out of NJ (it could, but it's not a clear indicator), its more of a new rules/money thing where he can get a better deal (even from NJ) if he opts out per the article.

    Its time for a change. The best those guys could do was one playoff series victory in 6 seasons together. Besides both guys have only 2-3 really good years left after their knee injuries.

    Why on earth people wouldn't want to sign on with the nets is crazy to me.

    Rich as owner? Check.
    Brooklyn? Check.
    Decent core? Check.
    Ability to attract talent? Check.
    Potential to nail Sasha's hot Russian girl (provided he comes back)? Check.
    Crazy fans? Not sure yet, but I'm willing to bet Brooklyn residents will take to the Nets like Koolaid takes to rock hard man meat.

    Make no mistake, this team will be compe ive in about 3 years, right around the time Carmelo is getting divorced from his wife after being bounced in round 1 again.
