I truly hope he gets and stays healthy. I'm an Oden fan. I really believed he was a sure thing with regards to being an impact big man in the NBA. I like his game a lot and he has a tremendous amount of potential. I just hope these injuries haven't robbed him of all of that upside and that he can avoid any further damage.

We gave him a qualifying offer. He's a restricted free agent and we have his Bird rights.

I felt Portland screwed the pooch when they took Oden over Durant. Couldn't believe it at the time, except it was Portland and that's how they are.

I could believe it. If healthy, I truly believe Oden would be a player with more impact.

I agree with the hope he stays healthy the NBA is sorely lacking in quality big men ...I agree he has potential, but I was NEVER that high on him as far as impact on the league ... I think he HAD the potential to bring elite level defense when healthy, pretty good athleticism but limited offense. Now I think the athleticism willbe less, the offense will be almost 2 years behind in development. I think he will bring some impact on defense due to his size and his willingness to be a "anchor" in the paint. Oden actually loves to play on that end ...

But I doubt he realizes his potential, and I never thought he was "one of the great ones" ...even before the knee troubles ...

Co-sign....it's a big man's league, and he was one of the more dominant forces coming out of college in recent years.

Last time I saw Oden, Richard Jefferson slammed one on him. Hope he gets healthy, though.

It would be nice if he can at least come back as a serviceable role player off the bench. Feel bad for the kid.

You've no room, your West is often injured as well and CP3 missed a ton of time last year.
