That was a fumble on Tebow. The ball started to slip out before it hit the ground. Good call IMO.
The ball was clearly firmly in his hand. However...
Den/Min-the ground can cause a fumble if the runner is not down prior to the ball coming out.Tebows knee was not down when the ball came out

And I was cursing at the idea of the Cardinals trading down to snatch Tebow in the draft. Such a winner.

All he does is win, no matter what. He's got money on his mind and can't never get enough. Every time he steps into the building, everybody hands go up... and they stay there.

    ^^ fake ass Broncos fan..

This was one of the worst officiated games in a while, refs tried to give Minny the win..

Tebow has progressed as a passer every week, can't wait to see what he looks like with an off-season and some additions to the receiving corps..

D looked bad, but they were missing the most valuable defensive player in the NFL, tbh..

Have to win against a hobbled Bears team, next week..
Be honest, would you rather have Luck or Tebow under center? It's not about jumping on an unstable bandwagon, it's about what will be best for the team long term. I just think this style of winning will run it's course and when it starts to fail, the will get ugly. Tanking for a franchise QB would have served us a lot better than thinking a bum (benefitting from a really good defense and running game) is going to continue to win. If a glorified FB can win with this team just imagine what a real QB could do?

Where were that defense and that running game when Orton was the starting QB?

Let's suppose that the improvement on the defense is just a coincidence (which I'm sure is not), the running game most certainly isn't. Denver went from beign at the bottom in rushing yds per game in the NFL to the number two team in the league in that department. Without Tebow that simply doesn't happen, not only because of his own runs but also for the impact he has on his teammates runs, without those option plays the Broncos have been running McGahee wouldn't have the numbers he has right now and the only reason you can run those plays succesfully is because of Tebow, plain and simple.

P/S: You would rather suck an entire year just to have a chance at maybe drafting a guy that nobody even knows if it's going to pan out in the NFL instead of winning a division le and making the playoffs? You're a strange fan.

The defense playing better is a coincidence. They had to adjust to a new system, and you are now seeing the fruits of their labor. I have to admit that he has had a big impact on the running game, but that goes back to my point. I don't see a one dimensional offense continuing to have success and when it fails Tebow will be exposed for what he is, a below average QB. I enjoy the fact that we are winning, but I'm realistic enough to know it won't last this way.

Looks like the team is playing harder in all three phases of the game since Tebow took over. They looked like they were mailing it in early in the season.

Because the Broncos run the ball so frequently with Tim Tebow at quarterback, they use up more time when he’s on the field. Even if they go three and out, their possession takes more time than say a three and out from Kyle Orton that features two passing plays. The more time that elapses on Denver’s offensive possessions, the fewer times it allows the opposing team an opportunity to score. Additionally, by protecting the football (as he’s done very well), Tebow prevents opposing teams from having extra possessions. It’s very simple math, and the numbers back it up.

In Kyle Orton’s four starts, the Broncos averaged 11.25 possessions per game, while the opposing team had 12. The opposing team also possessed the ball 31:33 while the Broncos had it 28:26 on average.

In Tim Tebow’s five starts, the Broncos have averaged 13.6 possessions per game, while the opposing team has had 13.2. Denver has also possessed the ball an average of 31:36 minutes compared to 29:55 for its opponents (the total is higher than 60 because Denver went to overtime against Miami).

I'm sure this had absolutely nothing to do with the improved defense and it's all just a big coincidence.

It has more to do with the defense finally getting healthy after being dinged for most of the first month of the season. Bailey, Dumervil, Thomas and Williams all missed multiple games during that stretch. Facing inept QBs/offenses also tends to help.

IIRC, the length of each drive has actually been shorter with Tebow at QB because of the massive drop in 3rd down%.

Like most things in sports, it isn't one thing but a culmination of several different factors.

I just don't think the offense they run is sustainable or conducive to winning consistently year in, year out.

I agree, the defense improvement probably has more to do with things related strictly related to them but as you said Tebow did make things to help the D a bit.

And I also think they will need to air it out a little bit more in the future but that's something I expect to happen eventually and I think Tebow can be succesful at doing that.

Tebow is a horrible QB, the defense is doing most of the work on those wins.. yeah the TEAM is getting wins and he happens to be the QB, but he's not the main reason..

Why else would there be these kinds of discussions?

Did you see the Vikings game? Tebow was the man of the match. I think the poor offensive numbers have more to do with the offensive playcalling than Tebow. In yesterday's game the Broncos only passed the ball when they really needed it (so, when they got behind) and Tebow delivered, then when the game got even McCoy went back to his ultra conservative playcalling. If the coaches would have let Tebow keep throwing the ball in the second to last drive of the game Goodman wouldn't have needed to came up with that interception at the end to win the game.

The score of the last game was 35 to 32... just sayin'

Yeah, yeah... it's a TEAM game... but is it that hard to single Tebow out as a positive factor in those wins (considering he doesn't turn the ball over and has had some impressive 4th quarter plays of his own)? IT isn't fair but QB's have been blamed for the failures, and praised for the sucesses of teams since like forever...

    You got me.

The extra 3 minutes in TOP tebow is getting Denver is what's making their defense great!
