I would be for it. Grant can still play, and he'd be all business. Wonderful mentor for the younger guys at his position. Hill's a pro's pro.
Even if the rumor was Spurs getting Lebron, people here would find a way to all over it. Good grief people. Nic Batum isn't walking through that door.

now they'll actually have a reason to call us old![]()
I'll take Grant. Every time I see him play he seems to have spry legs still. I guess that's a result of his injuries. He's a pretty good defenders and can hit mid-range shots.
Overall a big upgrade over Rj and that's good enough for me. I want to hear something about a big though.
lol remember that billboard in Orlando about 11 years ago that was plastered on the news here? Had a picture of Duncan and Hill in Magic uniforms? good times...
Hill missed fewer games in the last 4 seasons than he did in the first 4 healthy seasons of his career. I would have bet against it, and I would have lost. Who knows how much more he has in the tank? There has to be some end to it, but he didn't show a lot of signs of it last season.
That being said, I wonder what team fielded the oldest starting five in history? If the Spurs could just bring back Jacques Vaughn for one game, they could start Duncan, Vaughn, Manu, Grant Hill, and McDyess. That crew would average 36 years 8 months. That's gotta be pretty close to a record.
Yeah Grant has the ability to shoot off dribble and drive to basket. He has great basketball IQ and a good passer. Solid defender. Plus he would still allow Leonard to get 18-20 minutes a game.
jadande J.A. Adande
Nothing wrong with Spurs adding an older player. It's not like they're building for the future. Go till TD's knees fall off, then reset
Yea me too.
I would love to have Hill on a Spurs uniform, he can play defense.. his basketball IQ is through the roof, and he can be an excellent mentor for Leonard. We should be having more faith in Leonard.. I think Hill can stay healthy, he has the body of a 30 year old2 year deal would be more than fine.. IMO, I would rather have him than Howard.
I'd be f'ing thrilled with Hill. Sign him for two years and the Spurs could build a bridge to Leonard being ready to take the reins as the full time small forward. And if Leonard is ready before then, Hill could be still be good in a lesser role.
I completely agree with the Spurs being willing to offer two years. This is a guy who was on his way to being a first ballot Hall of Famer until his ankle almost had to be amputated. He may be 39 technically but he has the knees of a 33 or 34 year old.
It'd be exciting to have a perimeter defender who can actually defend.
Do it![]()
Out of Butler, Battier, and Hill, Grant was the option I was most hoping for. I've always liked his game and would love to see him as a Spur.
Then again, I don't like the report coming out in the media, because rumors and reality rarely seem to coincide in the Spurs favor.
No one is trying to get older, we need a starting SF RIGHT NOW and there's nothing better than a true professional who can defend and mentor our future SF...
btw@ that trade.
Grant Hill not coming to SA via Don Harris twitter.
Well that was fun for about 20 minutes.
Potential SF's are dropping like flies.
I wonder who's on the Spurs' radar at this point.
Close another thread, this one is done
it, just toss Leonard to the fire.
ok, so who's next on our list... I'd love to have Mbah a Moute.
Grant Hill...... At least make his ass wear number 3 if we sign this scrub.
Vince Carter is smiling.
Sounds like the Spurs finished second in the Grant Hill sweepstakes for the fifth time.
I forgot he was still available. My day is ruined.![]()
