You guys be interested in Speights?

Nuggets are apparently in talk with the sixers about trying to acquire him for a future 2nd rd pick.

Decent player if he can stay healthy
Nuggs have cap space, Spurs don't.

    He's 6'10", so I assume they aren't.

    Can he shoot threes?

3 Team Trade idea between SA/LAC/NO:

Spurs Trade: RJ/DeJuan to the Clippers, McDyess to the Hornets

Clippers Trade: Aminu/Kaman to the Spurs, Eric Gordon/Bledsoe/Minny pick to the Hornets

New Orleans Trade: Chris Paul to the Clippers, Future 2nd Rounder to the Spurs

    Spurs
    TP/Manu/Leonard or Aminu/TD/Kaman

    Clippers
CP3/Caron/RJ/Blake/Jordan w/ Blair off the Bench

    Hornets
Couple of young talented guards, unprotected lottery pick and cap relief with Dice's Contract

trade is approved. what say you?

    lol edited, good catch

    They aren't taking RJ
True. But they might consider it if means getting CP.

No brainer for the Spurs and hornets but that Clippers team can contend out of the West for the next 3 years.

Clippers giving up way too much in that scenario.

At the moment, their offer for CP3 - Kaman/Aminu/Bledsoe - is stalling because they won't give up either of Eric Gordon or their Minny 1st-round pick, and the Hornets want one or the other.

If the Hornets aren't too bothered about Kaman and want to rebuild, we could sneak in giving them Blair and Dice's contract, and take Ariza off their hands. This would give the Hornets a decent amount of cap relief. In return for helping them out with getting CP3, Clippers take RJ's contract. But it's a stretch.

It's gonna be Kobe and Shaq part 2
Kind of...except that Shaq was completely unguardable when he wanted to be and Howard's offense is still inconsistent and is even more of a free throw liability than Shaq. Howard is no Shaq.

And Bryant is staring the inevitable decline square in the face. Howard is an physical wonder, but has some limitations as you said.

I was thinking about Dwight and Kobe on the same team. The big game fourth quarter folds should be legendary.
Their lack of depth will hurt them in this shortened season. Also, as Kobe declines they need post scoring more than ever and I don't see Howard delivering there.

I can see how Howard will improve their defense in theory...but against the Spurs I think our offense will actually be more effective against them now. For sure, Brown will improve their defense overall. But the Spurs don't have any real low post threat anyway, so I don't see what he by himself is taking away from us.

Not to mention Meta World Peace looking to be a huge distraction to Brown and his attempt to assert authtority...yeah, this will be an interesting season for everyone but for the Lakers as well. I'm not saying they're going to be bad by any stretch but I'm not sure where they are headed either.

If I'm the clips Gordan is pretty damn near untouchable. At this point it is easier to find a solid PG for a team than it is a 2. Gordan is set up to be a top 3 player at his position for the next 6 years.

Magic Tell Dwight To Prepare To Stay Put For Foreseeable Future
    Dec 11, 2011 12:32 PM EST

When Dwight Howard asked to be traded, the Magic informed him that the team will not let his request dictate their timetable for a decision.

"[S]ources close to the team said there will be no rush to judgment on Howard's fate, no matter how uncomfortable the relationship might get leading up to the March trade deadline," writes Sam Amick. "When Howard requested a trade earlier this week, the source said he was told the Magic wouldn't suc b to the mounting pressure and that Howard should be prepared to play for the Magic for the foreseeable future."

A complicating factor could be that Orlando is investigating possible tampering by the Nets, the team that is reportedly Howard's first choice.

Ya, adding West, Hill & possibly OJ Mayo with only losing McRoberts is a pretty damn solid job.

Houston's close to signing Marc Gasol to max-contract offer sheet, working a sign-and-trade with Memphis to secure him, league sources say.
