Pretty sure if you amnesty a player you aren't allowed to resign him.
what would happen if the Lakers use the amnesty clause on Kobe ?
Kobe has a no trade clause in his contract so no team should be allowed to pick him if he doesn't want, right ?
Lakers would amnesty him and pick him for the vet minimum and get 30M off their cap ?
Pretty sure if you amnesty a player you aren't allowed to resign him.
Once a team uses the amnesty on a player, he cannot rejoin that team until after the end of his current contract. So Kobe wouldn't be allowed to rejoin the Lakers until after the 2013-14 season.
What is the amnesty clause? Is it something that you can undo bad contracts?
Think of it as a one-time automatic waiver. The team still has to pay the $$$, but it doesn't count against their cap.
It would have no affect on 5-4.
I know that.
You need to pick up the needle on the ol' record player, Cubby..you've been on repeat with that one for a good while now.
- "No son. The blood stays on the blade."
- "Priest" - "Gangs of New York"
I'll boil it down:::I ain't stoppin' with the 5-4.
I'm pretty sure a no-trade clause has nothing to do with Kobe refusing a team that picks him up off waivers
what a re ed idea
No, you can't use it on Mike Brown...![]()
the old bag would then join dallas for vet min and win several more rings here
I'm a trend setter.
I set trends.
