Early word has it that having not done live action before actually helped Bird make the action sharper and more dynamic since he's used to working with a lot of precision.
And The Dark Knight Rises prologue will play before MI4
(but I get to go see the prologue premiere on the 13th)

It looks pretty good to me but all the Cruise haters will hate it.
That's too bad. Each MI has been better than the one before it.

brad bird directed the iron giant, the incredibles, and ratatoiee, before this movie. They were all above 90% on rotten tomatoes. And MI4 is at 96% right now.

The best part of the movie is the TDKR prologue
This is a very good movie. It's better than all the other Mission Impossibles, so I guess Brad Bird takes credit for that.
I saw it in IMAX, but The Dark Knight Rises prologue isn't showing anywhere in New Orleans.

a) I love Batman and almost all things Batman related.
b) Chris Nolan is one of my current favorite directors and has been since Memento.
c) Ever since way back about a year before he was cast I've been talking about how awesome it would be if they had Bane in the new movie and had Tom Hardy play the part.
d) I was one of the main people calling you a dumbass for being a contrarian and scoffing The Dark Knight without seeing it. So, none of this should be surprising.

MI4 is an awesome movie. Glad to see a Tom Cruise movie kicking ass and showing the haters that they can just keep on hating while he produces, stars and rakes in the cash in good movies.
I don't recall ever attempting to deny that fact.
Just got back from seeing it tonight. Pretty damn good. Easily the best of the M:I movies. And the Dubai scene... gotdamn...
