Free agent forward Reggie Williams still talking to several teams, including Charlotte, Detroit, Sacramento, Denver, Toronto, sources say.
So if the Spurs aren't considering Reggie Williams, that means top three SFs still on the list are Josh Howard, Al Thornton and Peja Stojakovic.

Just get it over with and sign Mo Evans for minimum. That's where this story ends anyway.

Hill is old, but remember that he missed several years, due to injuries, so he doesn't have alot of wear and tear, usually associated with players his age. Hill would be a great bridge to Leonard.
The injuries have a way of adding wear and tear.

just let Kawahi start. With heavy minutse, I can see him being just as good or better than the crap that's still left out there.

crunch time lineup is prob going to be TP/Manu/Neal/Bonner/TD anyways. Don't think there's a FA out there that can change that.

At this point I don't care who we sign, as long as the majority of the minutes in that rotation spot go to Leonard.

Tony Parker calls James Anderson the surprise of training camp so far. He's expecting big things.
Not really news, but I've always been an advocate of giving Anderson a big rotation spot. Hopefully he'll keep on surprising.

I agree with everybody who said to just let Leonard start. Howard, Peja, or williams left to replace RJ?? No thanks!

Forget about scoring 110 points and winning with style. Get used to a lot of 82-85, low-scoring classical boring Spurs basketball,(1999-2007) because this lineup can't spread the floor for but will be able to defend with the best of them if Pop plays his cards right.

JA was nothing short of excellent last year before he went down. It was a big loss for the Spurs and that's saying a lot considering he's a young guy.

    Great to hear about Anderson.

Been hearing nothing but great things about him all offseason. He was playing great ball before he got hurt. If he has improved since, that has to be very encouraging news.

Why are we chasing morons like J-Ho when we could go with Anderson/Leonard/Green at SF and let them grow into their roles?

Pop's obsession with vets s me to tears.

    Amnesty RJ.

Stick the MLE in your pocket.

Sign Mo Evans for the vet min.

    Play the kids.

Let everyone else use their cap space and exceptions.

Throw the full MLE at Wilson Chandler when he comes back from China in March.

Sounds good to me. I think the Spurs will be better off even if they don't get a guy like Wilson than last year with a quality back up PG added along with better defensive players at SF with more of a motor. That doesn't mean they are contenders, but they will be a better team IMVHO.

I could envision a scenario where RJ (or some other vet) begins season as starting SF, to be supplanted by Leonard or Anderson later.

    JMcDonald_SAEN Jeff McDonald
I think the larger point is, Pop says he's going in with an open mind. If Leonard deserves a spot, he will -- even if he's just 20.
