He was a Spur. He got a chance to show what he's got. He jumps really high.
That's about it. Today he still jumps really high.
Whatever happened to this guy?....He had crazy potential.. Just never really got the chance to show it...Highest vertical leap I think I have ever seen, super athletic, long wingspan he could've been Great...I think if we still had him he would've really been developed by now...

I believe the Spurs best option at this point is bringing back James White, Pops Mensah-Bonsu, Ian Mahinmi, and Malik Hairston!
That squad right there will ball
Sad thing is - those guys would compete better than they should against Spurs major minute contributors Jefferson and Bonner
Seriously...No offense to the OP but...has it really come to this?![]()
He never had "crazy potential." Crazy athleticism maybe, but not crazy potential. There's more to basketball than highlight reel dunks.
He scored 50 points as a Spur!
in six games
OP forgot the exclamation point in the thread le
He had a huge sombrero at the championship celebration in '05 (I think).
Please delete this moronic thread
Potential he did have he averaged like 7 points for us in the little amount of minutes he got...Anytime you are built like he was you have great potential to become something great...If you are coached well that is, and Spurs coaching is the kind he needed to become that player...And yes there is more to basketball than just highlight reel dunks, but if you are not taught the game the right way...You will not learn it...
It was 2007. I was there that afternoon. James might have had a few on the way to the Alamadome.

and then he realized the game was at the At&T Center![]()
I actually thought that sombrero thing was kind of cool.
Charles Barkley has the right comment for guys like White: "Deer can jump high and run fast--but you don't see any of them playing in the NBA. There's more to it than that."
if dunking and athleticism is all it takes in the nba, i'd be working out a contract with the knicks right now
There was no game that day.
So they did the celebration at the Dome? Understood ...
I believe he's playing in Italy.
It's ridiculous to think he couldn't find a coach that could work with him so he can make the best use of his athleticism. Athleticism can translate into being good but it doesn't automatically.
put me in a body like that and bless me with the athleticism and I guarantee you I am tearing mofos up in the NBA
And you are crazy to think Coaching doesn't help Players...What you think the good NBA players learned all their skill from playing pick up games at the local Playground ha
