How do you atheists celebrate Christmas?

I would think that there is an internal component to be applied to celebrating the birth of Jesus that is not a prerequisite to taking place in a celebration?

If atheists are giving gifts at Christmas -- in this over-commercialized environment that now starts before Thanksgiving -- they're participating in Christmas.

That doesn't make them Christians. In fact, it just may make them social creatures that want to be a part of a celebratory season, whatever the reason.

I don't think Black Friday or Cyber Monday were created to honor Christ but, yet, a lot of Christmas gifts are purchased that weekend. I'm not sure the Magi waited for a sale on Gold, Frankincense, or Myrrh before s ing out the guidas required to purchase them for the Christ child.
