Well, it's a good thing I'm smart then or I might have missed the point completely.
I was being snarky but, that was my point. I'm not sure it is clearly understood what the discovery of the Higgs Boson or exceeding the speed of light might portend for established physical science.
Well, it's a good thing I'm smart then or I might have missed the point completely.
Yeah, but his wrong might mess up someone's (or a handful of people's day), OUR wrong messes up the lives of entire sectors of the population AND we get to keep doing it after that happens.
WOO FINANCE!
Remind me about this vato when I edit my Top 10 posters list.
remind yourself that no one gives a about your list
I've yet to hear the phrase "hey...anyone know when Mouse's post about (fill in the blank) is going to come out?"
The same reason a Muslim shouldn't be in the drive trough a Jack N Box ordering extra bacon on they're burgers.
Actually, I can recall several times over the past decade where someone will post their wonderment of when mouse will pipe up on one topic or another. Sometimes, it's in the form of, "cue mouse rant in 4...3...2..."
I take it you didn't make the cut?
keep spamming the forum you may someday evolve into someone worth taking serious.
I think its funny that 2011 Americans still pretend Christmas has anything to do with the birth of Jesus to begin with.
Christmas is a consumer holiday. A means to exploit the buying public before the 4th quarter ends, thereby padding the balance sheets before (or during) fiscal year's end.
I dont see commercials on TV, paid for by large retailers and electronics stores say one word about Christ.
Face it. Christmas was hijacked from Christians long before this year.
Thanks. Keep enjoying your Vienna Sausage dinners.
Face it there are only 12 posters here at ST that keep people visiting the site on a daily basis,
I just happen to be one of them.
Are you being Frank with me?
I'm not even sure that any but the most blind Christians would say that the modern celebration of Christmas has much to do with Jesus.
Every holiday has been hijacked to try to goad the public into buying cards, candy, flowers, gifts, costumes, etc. Have you seen the price for a ing card nowadays????
No. You really need to Ketchup with the conversation. Sorry Dog if I'm being Corny.
I agree with all but your first statement.
To be fair, there are Christians, me included, that recognize the non-Christian commercialization of Christmas for what it is and, yet, we're still able to honor the birth of our savior during that season...while still participating in the festivities.
So, I disagree, Christmas still has something to do with the birth of Christ, it's just not such a flashy or grandiose part of the season that it gets noticed much, anymore. Particularly with the expansion of the season into to a month and a half.
I still attend Christmas candlelight services at my church. I still follow the advent calendar with my children. I still read the nativity account from the Gospels. In short, I recognize the Christmas holiday exists because Christians decided to declare is a time to honor Christ. That it's been coopted by everyone wanting a day off from work and an excuse to exchange gifts is not the fault of Christians.
It only has absolutely nothing to with the birth of Christ for those who choose not to make that association.
That was creative I may have to add an 11th spot on my list.
Now they're going to be rapists! or worse... atheists!
Jeez. If that's all it took, why have I been Porking your mom in the Rump Roast all this time.
