True. Then why did you want CP3? When Fisher is clearly better.

    idiot

it would have still been an upgrade idiot... and now I never lobbied for CP3 when his name was thrown in the discussion then I was for it..I lobbied only for Dwight...but I'm glad CP3 got out of Nawlins because I don't think this trade will impress a potential buyer...

Besides Gordon/Pick, they didn't give up too much IMO
No , Gordon and the pick is a of a lot. Aminu is a high-ceiling project and Kaman is just a ty expiring.

For a superstar? It is a fair amount. Point is, I don't think they overpaid by enough to call them stupid.

you're clueless as is typical Spur fan...they get 1 first round pick...the others are in the 2nd round...this is basically a Paul for Gordon swap...those extra picks aren't worth ...only real basketball fans can reason as such...you guys are so high on this because you know what they draft can do for those that tank
My opinion is that Mins 1st round and Eric Gordon in a straight up deal for Cp3 is not a balanced one. Especially because the clippers are set up to have a nice lineup in the upcoming years, that 1st round from Min can potentially do wonders for rounding out their roster. CP3 is overrated and the clippers gave up too much. Whether you think that opinion is "clueless" is up to you.

Do the hornets have their own 1st round pick for 2012 or did they trade it? Cause thats the other one I'm talking about because they will undoubtedly have a ty record this year which will lead to a high pick.

Except the Nuggets players weren't old like the players NO was getting.
Yeah, the LA offer wasn't anything close to as good as Denver landing Felton, Chandler, Gallinari, a first, and $3 million.

lol at some lakerfans saying their package was better. In that trade the Hornets would of got Scola/Kevin Martin/Houstons 2012 pick/Odom. Those would be the key pieces. How the do those pieces beat a top SG in Gordon,Aminu,Kaman's 12.7 Million expiring and the Minny pick which is unprotected and most likely top 5.

So you saying CP3 and Blake gets past Kobe, Pau, and Bynum... last I checked

    Kobe > CP3
    Pau > Blake
Bynum has no one to check him
    Actually it's

    CP3>>>>Kobe
    Blake>>>>>>>>Pau
    Working knees>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Bynum

The Hornets would have been forced to make the deal without Gordon. They were getting nothing better. I still think Sterling would have been willing to spend with the TV deal he can get now with Blake+CP3, so I don't think paying Gordon would have been as big of an issue as you're making it. If Sterling wasn't going to spend, then why did he just drop $43 million on Jordan?

lakerfan employing gnsf logic in this thread. When they big up Kobe it's all "Pau plays like a pussy!" But whenever it's against anyone else Pau is a worldbeater.

If I'm the Clippers, I probably make the deal. This isn't like the Knicks, who were getting him in the off-season anyways(Melo). CP3 seems like he will stay with the Clippers. This might be their only way to get a super star.

That Minny pick is just gold for the Hornets: there are 5 top-notch frontcourt prospects out there in Anthony Davis, Andre Drummond, Harrison Barnes, Jared Sullinger, and Perry Jones. Anywhere in the top 5 you're going to land a of a prospect. Even the second-tier forwards like Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Quincy Miller, and Terrence Jones are really nice prospects.

Stern did us favor...I was totally not expecting CP3 anyway...that would have just been icing on the cake. As far as I'm concerned there's no team out West I see getting past us...Can you legitimately pick a team to beat LA in the west...no you can't
Yeah, you totally didn't want CP3. The hundreds of threads you made in the last month salivating about him were just troll attemps.

Agreed. But that was just the best example I could use.

Hornets made off nice. Better than Denver, and much better than the Laker/Rockets offer.

I don't think they would have been forced. Look at all the idiots who said the Laker deal was amazing and they were willing to let CP3 walk into FA rather than not get a great deal. That was their leverage. Give us what we want or run the risk of losing CP3 when he hits free agency. Getting him guaranteed is a great basketball move and financial move (just reported that already 99% sold out for season tickets).

He paid Jordan because he was the first one up in line and big men don't grow on trees. He wasn't facing a huge decision on multiple guys so he didn't have to choose now.

You dont trade a superstar in his prime for prospects, idiot. This has never been done before.
Yeah, you trade him for bad contracts and midlevel players in their thirties.

Very true and that isn't even considering the pick NO can get on their own if they struggle, which is likely. Stern did an amazing job and all over everyone who mocked his "basketball reasons". NO fans should be grateful Stern didn't let dummy Demps do something horrifically stupid. Demps should be fired for making that LAL deal IMO.

No, tbh i liked our returning team (but wanted us to get b-diddy) b/c the west was getting weaker. I was a strong advocate for getting D12, but i wanted to keep as many bigs as possible.

Hes not getting not tv deal, you asshole. Not one is going to pay to watch the Clippers. They wont even make the playoffs.
Ehh.. the clipper movement got pretty big in LA cause of Blake. Most of the Average Joe basketball fans in LA hopped onto the Blake band wagon.

Even if the clippers don't admit this, this move makes perfect sense in terms of marketing potential.
