lol him still being down from previous game
This:
Billups/Williams/Bledsoe
EG/Foye
Butler/Aminu/Gomes
Griffin/whoever
DAJ/whoever
is a better team than this:
Paul/Billups/Williams/Bledsoe
Foye? Williams? Billups?
Butler/Gomes
Blake/whoever
DAJ/whoever
All the had to do was move Kaman for whatever they felt like, and play out the season. They may well have landed Paul in free agency. Instead they gave up the best young SG in the NBA for a guy with a bum knee. Is Paul extending part of the deal? The ESPN story doesn't say so... so this could be a one-year hire!?
Christ, and just when Kori's nephew's esteem was out the roof.![]()
Didn't take long for Lakerfan to on Paul even though it was Stern that pushed the buttons...
Whatever you are obviously re ed, you arent making any sense whatsoever. In todays league you can't win a le, you use Darko as an example. Wade was drafted in the same "today's league" and won a le in "today's league". Therefore you are wrong you terrible terrible re .
eric gordon is good but when you can get the best point guard in the league back, you do it. you are trading a potentially all star shooting guard for the best point guard. the draft pick, aminu, and kaman won't be necessary with the current roster. you have to remember the clippers were perpetually in "rebuilding mode." they saw an opportunity and took it. if they didn't do this, they risked gordon, griffin, bledsoe, and aminu leaving the team down the road.
paul has agreed to stay on his contract for another year so that gives the clippers two years to convince paul to stay. and if they convince paul to stay, they will for sure convince griffin to stay when his contract is up, and start attracting some FA's. so it's kind of like a snowball effect.
Many Laker fans wanted nothing to do with Paul. The price was way to steep. Stern, in his biggest blunder of his career, actually did us a favor.
those grapes are sour anyways!

Thought that fool was going to LA?
I wonder if Mavericks can put Khloe as center, she would clog up the lane.
Not for me. I am all for going for Howard but even then not at the cost of both our bigs. Never was for CP3. Bigs win les. It's not rocket science.
There was never any attempt to go after him, I think. People just trying to be detective and assume he would be a logical Odom replacement.
You might be the only person in the world besides Laker fan who thinks this is a bad deal. Nothing is guaranteed. In the NBA, the opportunities are rare to land a top 2 player at his position. When you get said chance, you take it if you want any shot at being relevant.
Billups is done. This trade makes them better than standing pat and at least gives them hope of a serious future. It was time for them to make a move and they did it. The only basketball asset with regards to winning now they gave up for Paul was Gordon. Paul for Gordon is an amazing tradeoff. Losing a basketball asset like Gordon, but gaining Paul/Butler/Billups is a very good trade off and those picks wouldn't likely bring you anyone better than Paul. It was a pretty damn good deal for all involved which is rare.
Lest we ferget....I was charter Lakerfan to on Paul.
Except every other.
she does look like marc gasol
& I bet she has a in' bush on her that extends all the way to her balloon knot.
he said Laker fan, that you are not
I never defend my fandom.
It's my religion.
lakers dont have the mini mle anymore. they were desperate for bigs. besides he has the presidential candidate from his home country after him. pretty easy choice
He abused Deron in their last meeting and that was at 80%. Deron has gotten too slow to guard him at this point.
I approve of this trade. The Hornets built through the draft before with CP3 and West. They can do it again. They're gonna not be able to sign superstars. They're gonna have to develop them.
