I doubt Dallas would be a destination for Stevenson. Dallas is already stacked at the 2-guard spot. As it stands, they don't have room for him.
His agent is claiming multiple offers, so Dallas is probably the only team that gets him for the minimum. LLE with the second year as a player option might be enough.

Stevenson would be better than Josh Howard ... I just can't stand that guy
Jamal Crawford has reached out to current Kings players to get a feel for what it's like in Sacramento and if he is to go with the Kings, a source has told CSNNW.com that the Kings will use the amnesty on Francisco Garcia to clear up room.

Love Fran's game, he's had some health problems though. Can't imagine him clearing waivers though.
I would like to see us sign Stevenson. It'd be better than seeing a team like the Grizzlies get him. He brings a tough mentality.
Welp, top ten gone.Adrian Wojnarowski
Reggie Williams has agreed to a two-year deal, $5 million deal with Charlotte, a league source tells Y! Sports.
That's a good contract for the Bobcats. They could use another scorer.
fml You gotta be ing ting me. Is this team trying to alienate its entire fanbase? At least throw us a bone
The Spurs love to sign players who do well against them (Stephen Jackson, Francisco Elson, Speedy Claxton, etc, etc) so perhaps Al Thornton could enter the picture. He has zero basketball IQ but he'd be the ultimate small forward project. If the light turns on, he'd be a pretty damn good bargain ... considering that he could very well cost LLE money or less.
Then again, there's a reason why he's getting no love on the FA market.
Now that Nene is back in the Nuggets fold, I wonder how long it will take for Samuel Dalembert to find a home? Or has he already?
I have a feeling if the Spurs do sign a SF, it'll be Mo Evans hate to say.
That's what I want; put the kids to play SF and sign Dalembert
Too bad the chance is very small![]()
We are getting Donkey. All teams that have shown interest don't have room for rotation minutes apart from us:
Portland - batum & babbit
Utah - hayward, miles, evans
NJ - outlaw, damion james
Denver - gallinari, Chandler, brewer
Washington - singleton, nick young
Chicago - deng, rip, brewer, butler
Only other team that could is Jersey if they use amnesty on outlaw.
Yep.

AK-47 would possibly take a 2 year full mle deal...he's talking to nj....I say..amnesty rj and offer Kirilenko a 2 or 3 year full mle deal.
NJ can amnesty Outlaw and slot AK-47 into that 7M/yr slot and not affect their current space.
A friend e-mailed me earlier and said that the word is that the Spurs have been trying to shop Jefferson plus "a young player" to the Nets, with the intent of taking back much less salary from New Jersey. (I presume the Nets can take back 150% of the salary they send?) He was pretty confident in the rumor, and was wondering if I knew who the "young player" might be.
I haven't heard anything like this elsewhere. It's hard for me to believe that anyone would take Jefferson's contract. But could someone like Prokhorov do it, if he can't get the big name(s) he wants, and he likes the young player? Would the Spurs shop, say, Neal to get out from under RJ's contract? It makes me kind of queasy just thinking about it.
It does make me wonder about the Spurs announcing the amnesty of RJ, and then not following through. And if Prokhorov was looking at the average price for two players, and thinking that it was a fair price for each?
Somebody just tell me that this couldn't happen. The last time the Spurs gave up a player to get out from under a contract, it worked out so well for them.
The deadline to amnesty RJ is tomorrow (Friday). I guess it will be at 2 pm ET since the NBA market has started at that hour. Spurs have 36hours remaining to use it or not on a player this year.
Kris Humphries and Anthony Morrow are the only players who might be ideas. I doubt we'd take Travis Outlaw, as he made RJ look productive, and I doubt we'd take Farmar(PG position seems set.) RJ and Blair for Humphries at ~6 million a year could happen, moves a cheap rebounder and RJ for a more expensive rebounder.
As they're under the cap, they can make a trade up to the cap, They could just take RJ off of our hands, though they're not that dumb.
I don't believe the rumor, but two players that come to mind are Blair and Joseph.
Betcha a dollar it's Splitter or Leonard.
who would we try to trade for from the nets roster? u have any updates on this
No update. Nobody else claims to have heard anything about it. Nada. Of course, a lot of what the Spurs eventually wind up doing seems to come out of nowhere. And a lot of things get discussed that never happen. So who knows? The problem is that after I thought about it, it sounded like something the Spurs (Holt) might actually do. I think the Spurs could send RJ and Neal - a total of about $10M, and take back as little as $6.7M in salaries from the Nets. Holt could get rid of the RJ contract, and shed another $3M+ in salary this year. All off a sudden, it didn't sound as far-fetched.
Prokhorov needs to fill a roster, and has to get up to the minimum salary. If he can't get someone big like Howard this year? I don't know how a billionaire thinks, but he could just look at it like $5M each for RJ and Neal, and think it isn't that bad of a deal. I don't know who the Nets could send. Outlaw? Petro and Farmar? Some three-way deal?
I wouldn't have even mentioned it here, if not for the fact that we've seen Holt give up a player to dump a contract. This time he could actually dump a chunk of salary, and move away from the Lux Tax line. I just have this image of 2-3 seasons worth of Gary Neal threads.![]()
This is the future...I hope it isn't one of these players. Joseph/blair hopefully
i am guessing its either neal or anderson coz the nets dont have a legit SG, they have morrow but i guess they want a sixth man
