If this means Bonner trade is coming then I have never been more excited to see Steve Novak lol.

I prefer Novak to Bonner. It would be nice if this was a sign that Bonner was on the way out but I fear it's not.
sigh.. it's sad that i get excited from this.
I guess Novak will be the third string PF. Will Spurs give him a guaranteed contract or will they let him fight with Lawal for that spot?
I hope Spurs will add another center to the roster. Pop won't play Duncna too much minutes and Splitter is a little injury prone. To avoid extending period of time with a Blair/Bonner frontcourt, Spurs need at least a 3rd string center
You're right, but the point is who is available via free agency or trade with Dice contract...
Via free agency of the "reachble" ones, one could be Elson (and could be the right choice 'cause he already knows how we play), one other could be Evans (but is more a not so high pf than a center), one other could be Murphy (not so good defender)...
Via Dice contract, I don't see a lot available....maybe Houston would trade Thabeet contract.
Any idea ?
It doesn't make any sense that that they haven't gone after anyone. They were so hung up on look for a SF that they forgot that one of their major rotation bigs is also going to be departing. Replacing Dice should have been just as much of a priority...if not a bigger one because they have some players already that can fill the void at SF. PF/C? Not so much.
And Richard Jefferson screws the team up once again, as they spend so much time trying to figure a way out from under his contract that they completely miss theplayers they should have been targeting and have to settle for last year's scraps.
Either that or Pop wanted last year's front line again because he wants to shoot as many threes as possible. Just because it's a failed strategy doesn't mean he thinks it's wrong.
You both should know better.

As @FisolaNYDN reports, Shawne Williams agrees to Nets offer. Now, Nets trying to close deal with free agent Andrei Kirilenko, sources say.
I see our team shaping like the OKC Thunder. We have our Leard who will be our defensive specialist but since we know how to build our team with a big man thats what we lack. We'll gain a dominate power forward in the draft & James Anderson will be the scorer e need. We'll draft another speedster like Tony Parker. Splitter will be a defensive twin tower with our power forwards. Its more about the future.forte

Nets sign forward Ime Udoka, team announces
that was a close one...
I know. I keep saying the same every year expecting a different result. Kinda like taking to heart the "Pop's going in with an open mind" remark.
Amen. The PF/C position SHOULD have been the priority here. Unless there is some mysterious trade on the table, which I find highly doubtful, there's really no one left to be had.
The mere fact that Pop and RC were chasing the veritable assortment of SF dujours, leave no doubt that becoming better in the paint and on the glass, was not the priority.
Congratulations Dallas. Looks like a real winner of a signing.

If New York, as @alanhahn notes, is making a play for Michael Redd, it's a good move. I think whoever gets Redd has a potential steal.
I noticed he was available and couldn't help wondering why his name hadn't been brought up much. Did his play fall off that badly ?
he is injured most of the time so i guess teams are playing safe...
Of what's left, I think the Spurs should give Kyrylo Fesenko a call. He'd be cheap and though he's not that skilled, he's young and he's huge. From what I've read he plays with a lot of effort and moves pretty well for a guy his size.
Michael Redd huh? I totally forgot about that guy, I wonder if he has anything left....
