The trick is to believe magic tricks you see on tv.
You sure that's not CGI?
Oh, I get it...but I've also seen some pretty amazing magic stuff in Vegas in person...and even being a cynic and LOOKING for the trick couldn't see it...
I realize it could all be video FX but want to believe it has a basis in actually being done...
The camera changes angle shots too many times, imo.
The shadows are perfect though....even against his pants...that is very difficult...
It's CGI... The relatively fixed camera angles whenever the 'robot' is on gives it away...
Good job though
Actually, the position of the shadow between the two initial takes changes quite a lot.
I was talking as the 'robot' created itself...the CGI against the seams of his pants is perfect...makes you wonder why they did this trick during the day rather than at night..
I'm with ya on the CGI though...
Yeah, I'm talking about that part. There's two takes of it. The shadow between the two takes at a seemingly same camera angle is rotated quite a bit.
Oh it's definitely CGI but damned well done considering it's a low budget youtube video...still...very entertaining...
Yeah...I think the guy actually made the card 'float', which is very easy with an accomplice, and that is what the crowd was reacting too, and someone added the CGI robot later....
