That director is pretty badass. He did the Daywatch/Nigh ch movies.
He also did Wanted, which I thought was an awesome action movie. Bekmambetov's studio in Russia does the best fx around imo. He also produced Black Lightning, which was also very entertaining. A shame he hasn't got around to making Twilight Watch. The Night Watch series of books is pretty awesome.
I don't know what it is but vampire movies are always rapping about hailey my baby, i hate you mom, and spaghetti.
