Wow a Hornets PG actually got 20+ points on a game that isn't nationally televised or the playoffs? Just wait till Ariza gets the green light and starts throwing half courters all game.
Jarrett Jack in his first start to replace Chris Paul as the starting PG leads the Hornets to a 97-90 win over the Grizzlies with 24 pts, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, and 0 turnovers. The first of many wins for Captain Jack and the Hornets.

Good to see Chris Paul really took that whole loyalty to his friends thing so seriously
Damn, you had five D-Leaguers play tonight, with one starting. I love the way Lance Thomas plays, but he's the tweenerest of tweeners.
He's a beast. Gonna be the league MVP no doubt.
The Hornets will come out of the West, with Jack leading the charge.
Yeah most of the starters played well, but the d-leaguer bench was ok too. Landry, Gordon, Kaman, Aminu, and Jason Smith should be available for the next preseason game. The depth chart should look like this.
C Okafor, Kaman
PF Landry, Jason Smith, Thomas
SF Ariza, Aminu, Pondexter
SG, Gordon, Belinelli
PG Jack
I like Pondexter but he seems to be blocked. Maybe its time to trade Ariza. I really don't like him at all. One of the worst offensive players in the league and he still takes too many shots. I expect Kaman to get traded as well.
Kaman&Ariza for TOS Bryant&Caracter. Makes both teams better imo.
I think its the Hornets system.
Can't remember the dude's name, but Hornets young PG kept on dropping 20/10 with CP out.
Darren Collison. He was under Paul's tutelage, so that factored in.
^Bend over. I'll put ya under my in' tutelage, you in' homasexual, you.
He isn't captain jack. That is Steven Jackson son.
Shhhiiit. Is Steven Jackson even playing anymore?
*googles*
Oh, he's on the Bucks now. That sucks. Bobcats don't have Gerald Wallace either, I see. What a sad team that is now.
Steven Jackson isn't any a captain anymore. He lost his nickname since Jarrett Jack is the captain of the Hornets. He's the next Captain Jack now.
DPG wrong again![]()
I got to side Deepy here:::you can't do that 78.
It's beneath contempt.
I'm not too serious about the nickname. But lets not forget Steven Jackson got his nickname once he became captain of the Warriors. However, he handled it poorly and lost the roll and shortly was traded. So now, Jarrett Jack is the real Captain Jack as the captain of the Hornets.
BTW, bend over, I'll show you contempt.
You can't do it, 78. Please stop.
Jackson even looks like that Captain Jack on the commercials.
C'mon, 78, do the right thing here. Disavow & walk away.
Instead of crawling?
I may compromise. May i'll just refer to him as Capt Jack on hornetsreport. But i haven't confirmed it yet. I'll make an announcement soon.
That's acceptable. I'll sing your praises ever more.
Captain Jack just led the Hornets to their second beat down of Memphis this preseason, with an easy 95-80 victory. The Hornets moved to 2-0 this preseason.
Jack contributed a pedestrian 5 points, but showed leadership skills throughout the game, dishing out 8 assists and adding a steal, with only 1 questionable turnover the entire game. Jack's new teammates Eric Gordon & Chris Kaman scored 17 & 18 points respectively.
The Hornets decided to rest Ariza & Okafur this game, as they didn't feel it was necessary to play them against this inferior opponent.
The Hornets also anticipate the arrival of newly signed Mexican sensation center Gustavo Ayon soon, which they signed earlier today.
Only pussies & assholes rob nicknames.
