Don't think anybody gets amnestied today, but five to watch: Gana Diop, Richard Jefferson, Mike Miller, Hasheem Thabeet, Artest/Walton/Blake
haha, we can't even get Udoka.

Bulls waive guard Keith Bogans.
On in' suicide watch.
Pop even admitted to being interested in who other teams waive. The Centerpiece is coming back, ain't he.

What's going to happen is the Spurs will pick him up AFTER the deadline passes to amnesty RJ and both of them will play ahead of Cowhigh in the rotation.
Your opening day starting lineup:
Tony Parker
Keith Bogans
Richard Jefferson
Matt Bonner*
Tim Duncan
*Unless Pop can convince Dice to come back because now that LA has shown interest that means he suddenly doesn't suck ass anymore.
Who coined The Centerpiece sobriquet?
Pop. I had to look up the exact quote, for hilarity sakes.

Thanks for sharing. I've often wondered in what context Pop was using that term. It is laughable because if he truly was the centerpiece, why did he only last one year, Pop?
All of which brings me to another question. If Bogans was deemed the centerpiece when during his one-year stint, what would he consider Bruce Bowen to be, during his prolonged Spurs tenure?

Hornets sign forward Jason Smith to a three-year, $7.5 million deal, according to a source.
Keith Bogans was Pop's version of Barry Switzer. He thought just anyone could come in and defend the other team's best player and there'd be no drop-off in the team's production, which is why he rode Bowen out of town with no fanfare.
Exactly. Why should he take a pay cut. What if the Spurs can't sign anyone. You think TD will be happy about that.
Players like Tim, Shaq, Kobe in their prime were worth more than they were getting paid. I would have given Tim 40 million in his prime if he wanted it.

Rodney Stuckey has agreed to a 3 year, $25 deal to stay with Pistons, league source confirms to Y!
You mean to tell me we still haven't signed Khris Humphries? The best available McDyess replacement and the best fit for our team as well. I'll go crazy if he signs elsewhere for nothing because he can't possibly command much as the high priced free agents are already gone.
Spurs have the potential to be better than last year as is IMO, but this was a laughably bad off season so far.

Troy Murphy has reached agreement on a one-year deal with the Lakers, league source tells Y! Sports.
Come on. We have to get someone, Tim, Tiago, Blair, and Bonner obviously aren't enough in a compacted season like this. Maybe on Monday when we reach Dice's deadline they'll be forced to do something!!!!!
Nice to see the Lakers making big man additions.
Yes, bloody wonderful!![]()
Ideally, I wouldn't have wanted Murphy. But it's way too late to be talking about who'd be ideal. At this point, there's no way they're getting a big better than Murphy, which begs the question: Why didn't they sign Murphy? Or Clark? Or Wright? Or one of the Williamses? Why didn't we even hear of them being interested in any?
As far as veteran's minimum bigs, who can shoot and have some experience in the league, all that's left is: Barron (likely to be waived), Ajinca, Elson, Smith and Allen.
Wonder what the Jazz are gonna do with Okur. Hes healthy, but given the glut of bigs on the Jazz, don't see alot of pt for him(Okurs not even listed on their depth chart). I would rather have Okur than Bon Bon.
They're supposed to be clearing out other players to make room for Okur in the rotation. I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere.
Hope they clear out Al Jefferson to our team!
