20 points on 9-12 shooting. Just imagine if he had been in a Spurs uniform.

I wish we could have jumped in front of the Rockets and drafted him instead.

All of Spurstalk is like a guy that got dumped in college by a beautiful girl named Scola, and can never stop thinking and talking about it. Letting Stephen Jackson go in his prime was a worse decision than the Scola decision, but I guess Scola is prettier.

Both decisions were pretty stupid but we won 2 more championships after Jackson....none after Scola, so yeah he is prettier.

The Rockets were ready to ship Scola to NOLA, any possibility of getting him back?

They were going to end up with Pau Gasol.

Do you see anyone on the Spurs roster of that caliber that we can trade for him?

I remember how excited I was about Scola because someone described him as "Manu Ginobili at the PF position."

He hasn't been the winner that Manu is but hes definitely a nice player to have. Scores well in the post, rebounds well, hustles, works hard, locker room type player. Sure, would love to have him, but it didnt happen so we move on.

Since you obviously think the Rockets are trying to get rid of Scola what is you trade proposal?

S-Jax was turnover prone, which produced 6-7 fastbreak points with broken defense.
The 05 team was better than the 03.

If I remember correctly, Jackson was offered 3 million a year for 3 years, which was a pretty lowball offer for a versatile 6'8" swingman who played defense.

Sjax hit big shots in the playoffs, so if you factor that in to what you already said I am pretty sure he felt like the offer was a low ball.

S-Jaxs agent said he was a starter and he wanted a salary in line with that. At the time I expected the Spurs to offer more than $3M a year, as they said they wanted S-Jax to stay.

On the other side, S-Jax over reacted. Soon after the Spurs got Hedo and Mercer in a trade. Mercer was cut after short time. The combined salary of the two was almost what the Spurs offered S-Jax for 3 years.
