Cassie Wright, the current president of the University of Texas College Republicans, allegedly sent out an offensive tweet on Sunday.
On December 18, a tweet was sent from an account apparently belonging to Wright that read, "My president is black, he snorts a lot of crack. Holla. #2012 #Obama"
The account is now protected, so the tweet is inaccessible. Nevertheless, HuffPost's Elise Foley was able to capture the below screenshot of the tweet before the account was set to private.

They're College Republicans, they do these kind of things to please their elderly white masters. I don't see the big deal either, they are women so they're opinion doesn't matter anyway.
Just to put a finer point on how stupid this chick is:
Cassandra Wright, who goes by Cassie, was just elected president of the College Republicans a few weeks ago after Lauren Pierce stepped down over her own controversial tweet.
Pierce’s Tweet in November said, “I know it may be tempting, but don’t shoot President Obama. We need him to go down as the worst president in history." It was a comment for which Pierce later apologized before stepping down.

And just to put a finer point on how vacuous local news is:
The tweet comes just about a month after the previous president of the organization, Lauren Pierce, tweeted, "Y'all as tempting as it may be, don't shoot Obama. We need him to go down in history as the WORST president we've EVER had! #2012." Pierce later apologized for the post, which was written hours after a man was arrested in connection with two bullets that struck the White House while the President was out of town.
The Austin American-Statesman reports that Pierce retweeted the "crack" post.
Per Burnt Orange Report, Wright's ascension within the UT College Republicans to the role of president was not due to a resignation by Pierce
Despite widespread calls to do so, former UT College Republicans President Lauren Pierce did not resign from office. On December 1st, the College Republicans held elections and voted current president Cassie Wright into office. Amazingly and disappointingly, Pierce still serves as secretary of the statewide Texas College Republicans.

There's no way Obama can go down as the worst president. If they think that then they need to re-take history class.

I think the stupidity of repeating the gaffe is noteworthy, and UT is local.
And Republicans are often in the news.
It's national news now. It was on MSNBC. She's from San Antonio too, go figure.
