ok
after watching some their last preseason game, I predict the Suns have one of the 5 worst records in the NBA this year. Write it down, take a picture. They won't even need to trade Nash to be complete this year.
More specific Suns predictions:
- Gentry will be scapegoated by Sarver + Babby and be fired at the end of the year
- Nash and Grant Hill will checkout mentally at some point early in the season
- attendance will be bottom 10 in the NBA
I know it's early, but if the Suns do trade Nash, who do you think they'll send him to?
If Nash was traded, he would probably go to New York to play for Mike D, but not for anything other than minimum.
I can't wait to see the Spurs play this Suns team in Phoenix.
I don't see them trading him. The way babby and blanks think they're grossly overestimating what they can get for him. At this point they should use Nash to unload Frye and/or Warrick's contract (the fact Childress has not been amnestied yet is a joke) so they can actually rebuild with cap room. The new CBA makes it impossible to rebuild when you have role players with the contracts Warrick, Frye and Childress have.
Porter tried to tell 'em, but, they weren't willing to listen.
This has nothing to do with Porter.
Good season to tank
For the suns, that's like playing at 100%
Of course it does. He wanted to install a defensive character & culture to the team, but, Nash wanted no part of that and deep sixed Porter.
Not really. Gentry is 100x a better defensive coach than Porter. No matter who the coach is, players should never quit like Nash and Hill did, but Porter was clueless.
The 2010 Suns show that Porter wasn't an asset at all. You'll never admit it but letting Amare leave is the main reason why the Suns suck now, and it's blatantly obvious to anyone who's not a racist old man.
Phoenix taking over the old Clipper's role of futility.
"The Suns were still trying to work out a trade for Pietrus when they reached the buyout with him, and were not happy with his comportment while in Phoenix. [...] “You know the old saying, ‘all’s well that ends well?’,” Suns GM Lon Babby said. “In this case, it’s ‘all’s well that ends.’ "" http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2011/1...rus-wish-list/
What did I miss? What did Pietrus do to make the Suns hate him so much? And why would Babby publicly make such a comment?
I think Suns fans are about the only ones who were hoping the season would be canceled...
I think they are waiting until next summer to amnesty Childress. That way they can use him for this season and then get rid of his cap number when they actually have cap space to use next summer.
Of course, I would rather they get rid of Frye's contract, as he is more of a threat to the team's progress, especially since Gentry is so in love with him.
I don't see how they can trade Nash though (especially if they unload a contract or two along with him), and still have cap room. It would take quite a bit of expiring salary (or a large TPE) to make that work. I'm still hoping they could land at least a low first-round pick, too, but that may be wishful thinking, especially with this front office.
You can't prove that because Nash deep sixed Porter.
And it was me, D, that chartered Nash quitting on Porter.
The Suns sucking has nothing to do with Amare leaving.
look at yerself 'eppe.
If you were this relentless towards DUNCAN back in November '11 you wouldn't be 0 & Forever anymore.
Uh, uh 'seppe. You ain't gettin' outta this one. You still got your chance in December '11.
The Redemption
Wanting to install one and being able to install one are two different things. They should have kept Steve Kerr, Amare and Mike D. They would still be fun to watch.
- Steve Nash
sssshhhhh.
