Spurs can dress 13 until Feb. 6, why not bring up a d-leaguer while Neal heals?

How foolish that we didnt get Fes, Ajincia, Boone, Williams.......Slow, short, unathletic in the post, Im sure that will work well this year!

Guess RC and POPS learned nothing from the Griz last year.....have all the corp knowledge you want, still not gonna help you defend the paint!

Corporate knowledge means that when they play a team with a good frontcourt, they get their asses kicked - but everyone on the team knows it.

Say what you want about Pop but he took a weak SF position depth-wise from bogans to green and leonard.

And what's with Joseph on the opening day roster? The experts here said hes going to Austin

He would be better off in Austin, no point in him watching TJ Ford suck up his minutes...

The distribution may not be great but the depth and athleticism are the best in years.

Playing Tim and Splitter at the same time makes the most sense but heightens the need for a backup center (if Splitter comes off the bench he's the backup C). I have a crazy hunch that Splitter could guard some 4s if need be. The reason it seems like Splitter plays small is that his defensive footwork is so good he's rarely out of position and doesn't need to have his hands up as much as we're used to (it's a Euro style that isn't much respected here). If he could keep that movement and get his hands up he'd be a potential defensive stopper.

Blair spelling both Tim and Splitter would work nicely. Then Bonner could be used as a situational shooting specialist if they could get a 4th big.

Just a one-trick-pony shotblocker (Camby type) would do.

Makes too much sense for Pop to try it. Splitter can defend 4's. He a had a game last year where he played great defense against Lamarcus Aldridge and LA's been a guy that's basically killed the Spurs every time.

Wow only TWO players over 6'10 we are going to get killed on the boards every game. It looks like RC was in Rehab the whole off season cause we got nothing......

word props for this ... eat crow s
lol He has to be on the opening day roster to be able to be assigned to Austin. There's no reason to assign anyone with Neal out.
