Western Conference Rankings 2011-2012 season

1. San Antonio Spurs - Who's going to stop this team this year? The Lakers got weaker losing Lamar Odom, are coming off a sweep, Gasol is soft again, Kobe is declining, Artest is an idiot, and Bynum? Tim, Tony, and Manu control their own fate this year. If they want to win, they'll win. If they couldn't care less, they'll lose. It's the 10th year together for these three, and no trio in the league plays together as well as they do.

2. Oklahoma City Thunder - Kevin Durant is one of the few NBA players who just goes out and plays the game, does what he has to do, and isn't an overrated fluke. This team has been screwed over by the league's agenda the last couple of years in the playoffs. I expect them in the WCF's this year against the Spurs.

3. L.A. Clippers - Not jumping on a bandwagon here. Blake Griffin is an All-Star. You can't go wrong with Chauncey Billups, plain and simple. The Clippers are the best team in Los Angeles this year.

4-6. Any order of Portland, Denver, and the Lakers.

7. Memphis Grizzlies - I'm willing to rank these guys as 7th best in the West for now, only because there's no other team to put at #7.

8. Golden State - Again, putting these guys at 8th best team in the West because there's no one else to put here.

1. Spurs vs Warriors - Spurs win
2. Thunder vs Grizzlies - Thunder win
3. Clippers vs Lakers - Clippers win
4. Nuggets vs Blazers - Nuggets win

2nd round:

1. Spurs vs Nuggets - Spurs win
2. Thunders vs Clippers - Thunder win
