No, there wasn't. I ain't letting Cully off the hook on this one, he gave Shaq endless criticism for losing half his fortune to his ex, Kobe deserves the same criticism.
No. The catastrophe for Kobe would to continue to stay married to Vanessa and for her to continue to forbid him his onions. She would not condone or grant him permission to live both lives. He couldn't quit that life. The catastrophe would be for Kobe to stay in that marriage. He would be devastated without his "special" onions. He'd be empty.
In this particular case, Bryant was fighting himself and his addiction to "pornography" & the dark world. No amount of monetary gain or loss is going to sate that draw, that hunger, that need for that lifestyle. He didn't know that before Eagle. He knew it after Eagle. That's why he returned to it,,,like? Yes, like a dog returns to it's vomit.
In this particular case, I put my Walter Mitty on in the belief that Bryant had given up his addiction to the slap & tickle lifestyle. It was commendable. I figured if he was going to fall off the wagon it woulda happened early on after the Eagle rape. It turns out that never happened. He's been bumpin' & grindin' ever since Eagle. If she can't do what Kirilenko's wife did and grant carte blanche to Kobe then she should leave him to his own devices. He'll find his contentment and she'll find peace of mind.

Kobe lost half of his total fortune. You've said that's a catastrophe when it applies to Shaq and MJ, it's just as much of a catastrophe when it applies to Kobe.

You can't have it both ways. Losing your total fortunate is either a catastrophe for all 3 or a catastrophe for none of them.

Same could be said for MJ or Shaq, you unfortunately took the opposite approach with those two in a desperate attempt to prop Kobe up, when in reality he's just as much of an adulterer as those two are. He's going through the catastrophe of losing half his total fortune just like MJ and Shaq did.
Could be. On first blush though it doesn't look like the MJ and Daddy events were the same as the Bryant event. I think those two were "in love." Kobe was in perpetual lust.

It doesn't matter. You didn't say "Losing half your total fortune is a catastrophe when you lose it because you slept around but not when you wanna sleep around". You said "Losing half your total fortune is a catastrophe" with no qualifier, which is exactly what happened to Kobe.
