i have the feeling the heat "big 3" will win the championship this year because of the short season and their young legs. wouldn't it be sweet to answer with the signing of dwight and d-will next summer? dirk will turn 34 next year but he still has at least 3 all-star years left in his tank because his game is based on zero athleticism.
if this happens, i expect mavs vs heat finals the next 3 years after this season...greatest nba rivalry after lakers vs. celtics

No, the Mavs just have to give away either Haywood or Marion and they'll have almost 36million in cap space next summer (they would have Dirk+Roddy+Dominique Jones under contract).
They could even give away Jones or Roddy if need be,but either way they'll have capspace for both of them.
