Aside from (us) who criticized Amare and/or Nash for half hearted effort on defense?
Nash was never criticized for it, even after ridiculous stuff like being the only player to ever let Steve Blake drop 20 points and 10 assists (twice I might add).
Whenever the guy Amare was guarding scored more than 20 points and/or Amare didn't grab 10 rebounds or more, he faced criticism at all levels. The fans, the local media, etc.
'sep you're a fool if you think Amare was never criticized by the media. And smart basketball fans like us saw that Nash never played defense but the media never said anything.
Is Gortat injured, or does he not give a either anymore?
Sure, "we" cited it (Amare), but, I never saw it in print, or, heard it on the radio talk shows. He was a sacred cow just like Nash was. Sure, once they ran him off they crucified him, but, when he was in uniform he was protected.
His shooting thumb is broke and in a splint.
A future top pick in a stacked draft and like 20 mil coming off the books next year. There are teams in much worst conditions.
Dude, I listen to local sports talk radio everyday here and they always protected Nash AND Amare from criticism.
Good to know. Figured he saw the offseason of signing everyone's unwanted leftovers as your major moves and decided it was too much work to give a damn.
Bull . There was a multi-year campaign from Gambo to convince Suns fans Amare wasn't worth the max.
Those teams in much worse conditions aren't owned by a cheap red headed Shylock.
Except the Suns have proven repeatedly they can't be trusted with draft picks and Sarver has been a to players a bit too often to keep Phoenix a draw for top FAs.
And he'd praise him with faint damning. I heard it as well. Their Abbott & Costello act was infamous for that . Always a caveat each day to protect themselves just in case he wouldn't sign here. Always holding back a salvo in case Amare stayed and they had to face him again.
I know where the bear s in the buckwheat here, D.
The Suns have already made it clear Steve Nash at age 38 () is their top free agency priority for next off season. The off season they're claiming will be HUGE for them

Well, you're stuck with then. If you think for one minute that you're walking away and to MN., you sadly mistaken. You started with them and you're stickin' with them.
Why are you not held to those same rules then?
I am.
I started with the Lakers.
I'll enter my house justified with the Lakers.
See, I can never be off the record with you guys, because you always take my pants down & laugh at me.
Paul Coro already put in writing that Nash will probably be their biggest free agent signing next summer. lol
BTW, what's with all this nonsense about Cubby not being a Lakers fan all the sudden?
