I can empathize with you, Shemp. My wife & I were in similar situation only with our home. Toward the end I slept with shotguns in the bed with me, blockaded the bedroom door and left the dog out in the house to act as a warning if "they" stormed the house. The wife and children had long ago been "farmed out" with me left alone as the house went thru the selling process. I was always worried they'd rush me when I drove up in the driveway from the Post Office runs I'd make daily, so I had a S&W on the seat next to me at all times while in the car and shoulder holstered otherwise. Arizona guns laws I believe is what saved me from being shot down in cold blood. They saw me heeled and it bought me time until I sold the house. The police had too forsaken our situation and left us at the hands of arch criminals. They've since suffered in substantial numbers at the hands of the same criminal group. They're smiling and smug no longer.
