Should he? Yes...Will he be? No.
If this continues and the Spurs have a good season should he be legit for the MVP race? I think so.
Should he? Yes...Will he be? No.
Manu is definitely a shoe in, but Durant is a lock, from the look of things.
I love Manu as much as anybody, but come on man...
he will get Dr. Jack ramseys vote. But he also voted Keith bogans for dpoy
Remember these posts from last year? Remember how it didn't continue?
He won't play enough to win the award. I'd expect him to hover between 25 and-28 minutes. Would be a really nice accomplishment for him though.
MVP? No... ALL NBA 3rd Team, maybe...
The best part about Manu this early season is that he is having a PER (=35+) that is next only to Lebron James. Yeah, folks.. he is the second best player in the league according to one strong advanced stats metric.
sucks i dont think he can keep it up at least well have 1 all star lol
This is a Lebron James/Kevin Durant league. Love Manu but it ain't happening.
ing shame he has only been healthy in the playoffs once in the past 5-6 seasons....
Seems like somebody makes the exact same thread every year. Manu will never win an MVP playing less than 30mpg. And obviously he wouldnt be as productive (per minute) if he played 33+ minutes a game like the MVP candidates.
yes he would...
For how many games ?
Manu is a really great player but he can't play as much as Lebron or Durant without injury
Love Manu but you know how he is. The one thing that keeps Manu from being a star player in the league is his consistancy. By next week he'll probably be struggling and people will be wondering what's wrong with him and when he was going to be back to Manu again.
Exactly. He's shooting 60/54/93. My guess is that he'll finish somewhere in the neighborhood of 45/40/88, at 17-18ppg.
There is one difference with last year, and it probably won't affect the inevitable drop, but he was playing career high minutes, and he's at almost a career low in minutes this year with 26.

No, Manu will never be MVP.
Can we focus on winning games and not regular season awards no Spurs player cares about ...
He did get MVP votes though.
counting chickens before they hatch tbh
