I've heard they like what they saw against Denver and think that Drew's game is more polished than Howard's...sources close to the situation say they now realize they won't get anything better than the 2nd most dominant big man in the league. Source and Link coming soon...but I've verified and it looks legit..my word is bond fellas...

Kobe would finally have a fulltime toady if Howard came West. Aside from that and a superlative dominatrix that's all that's left that he hasn't had.

Wasn’t the hold up the Lakers not willing to take on the Hedo Turkoglu
contract? Lakers don't need to see anymore of Bynum...

First off, Kool is almost certainly full of crap like he usually is.

Secondly, I still wonder who all the Magic would require from the Lakers to make this happen. They don't really have any trade pieces (of value) outside of Bynum, unless they also plan to offer Gasol, which in that case would be a re ed trade for the Lakers. They are already thin enough on depth as is, and giving up 2 very very good big men for one exceptional big man is stupid as for the Lakers, but a major win for Orlando.

IMO, it's definitely a valid critique. Bynum definitely has a bigger assortment of post moves that are not heavily reliant on extreme athleticism. Much better footwork, fantastic touch around the rim, and a nice floater/hook.

Dwight has definitely improved his skillset, but still relies very heavily on athletic ability. I have a hard time believing Dwight would survive as well as Bynum has if he had blown out his knees multiple times like Drew.

If Orlando can con the Lakers into taking back Jameer with Howard, a Bynum trade would be a net win for the Magic... That little twerp cost the Magic any chance at being compe ive in the Finals...

Yeah, so I strongly doubt the Magic would be stupid enough to straight up trade Howard for Bynum, if they could get 5 first rounders out of the Nets. Yeah, I understand the Magic want players that can help now, but getting ONE player who has a history of injury I'm sure isn't exactly fitting that bill either. Only an absolute moron would turn down that many 1st rounders for a guy like Bynum.

Well, when your team works best with 4 athletic/tall/capable 3 point shooters, and your moron coach dismantles this premise by inserting a rusty/short/incapable 3 point shooter for more than 5 minutes... It kind of destroys the system...

they don't have a choice... Bynum and Artest For Howard
Sources familiar with Orlando’s thinking say that a picture of what the Magic will ultimately expect in return for their anchor has indeed begun to emerge, telling ESPN.com this week that Orlando would not hold out for youth and draft picks as the league-owned New Orleans Hornets were ordered to do in the Chris Paul sweepstakes. The Magic, sources say, would instead prefer to bring back multiple established veterans who can keep the team compe ive.

Reason being: Orlando has moved into a new arena last season and has an 85-year-old owner in Rich De Vos. Sources say De Vos has little interest in starting over/rebuilding, as evidenced by the recent decisions to trade for Glen “Big Baby” Davis and re-sign Jason Richardson even though Howard’s future is so murky.

A talented yet injury prone center, and a sack of garbage that happens to play the small forward position in basketball is not going to keep them compe ive, whatsoever.
