Didn't read. Go away, got.

But the biggest thing that blows my mind is how people are upset at Tony Romo, who played with a swollen hand. We’ll never know how much pain he was in for this game nor how the hand was affected because he actually had a pretty good game. Romo finished 29-37 for 289 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception. The ensuing possession after his one interception was a four-and-out by the Giants where Dallas got the ball back almost exactly where they’d lost it. Romo was under constant pressure as well, as he was sacked six times and took seven hits.
I can understand how Dallas Cowboys fans can be frustrated about the way the season ended, but what I don’t understand is how they’re taking it out on Romo. Look at his stats for the season:
Tony Romo 2011 (NFL rank)
Passer Rating: 102.5 (4th)
Yards: 4,184 (7th)
Touchdowns: 31 (5th)
Touchdown-Interception ratio: +21 (5th)
Romo had only two games where he threw for more than one interception. Among the top quarterbacks in the league, only Aaron Rodgers did better. And Dallas won one of those games, so you can really only pin one loss this season squarely on Romo. He’s easily been responsible for far more wins than losses this season. How about this 1-1 stretch, easily the worst stretch of the season for Dallas. Let’s take a look at his numbers over the last five games of the season (not including the game where he was hurt early against Philly):
Tony Romo’s Last Four Games of 2011
101-140 (72%), 1,158 yards (8.2 yards per attempt), 10 touchdowns and one interception
In what world is Tony Romo the problem?
Last night I made this joke: “I can’t believe how badly Tony Romo is playing on defense. He keeps getting beaten by Cruz, can’t make an open-field tackle and hasn’t gotten to Eli Manning yet. This guy needs to be traded.”
The running backs didn’t play well in this game, which was a function of the dominance of New York’s front seven. Romo was a one-man band out there, almost trying to win on his own. He might have pulled it off if his offensive line had been up to the challenge or the running game could have got something going, or if the defense could have forced the Giants to do worse than converting seven of their 15 third downs.
Romo played this year with a punctured lung, broken ribs, a swollen hand, and a really young and inexperienced offensive line… and was easily a top 5 quarterback in the NFL this year. To want to get rid of him is idiotic, especially with a great base of young talent on the offensive side of the ball that includes Dez Bryant, Miles Austin, Laurent Robinson, and DeMarco Murray.
Criticize Romo at your own peril. Just know that the numbers don’t back it up. And when Dallas played it’s worst, he was at his best trying to save the team as they missed the playoffs.
I'm surprised he was able to put up the numbers he did with a offensive line. You had Doug Free starting at left tackle, who led the team in penalties the last two seasons and was constantly blocking air while his man got a free pass to the QB. There was a 7th round draft pick starting at left guard who had to be replaced by a guy they cut before the season started (who was later placed on IR). They let their pro bowl center walk for a guy that couldn't learn when to snap the ball over 16 games. And they rounded that out with Koiser and a rookie tackle. Romos lucky to have only broken his ribs once.
How's the career at PlayerMakerOnline going? lol
The op link sounds like a poker site
Yup, he already lost cowgirl fans... they blame him when he didnt play & they blame him when he does play!
There are so many problems with the Cowboys right now, QB is the least of their worries. The Cowboys generally score enough points to win or compete in most games. It's on the other side of the scoreboard where you can see the problems.
Had huge 4th qtr leads in two games whereupon all he had to do was game manage. In fact about the only way they could lose is by his throwing lame multiple INTs.
Which he did.
Hence they lost the NFC East by one game.
Romo only had two games with multiple interceptions this season. Only Aaron Rodgers could say that among the top 10 quarterbacks in the league.
With a lead this season, he threw 11 touchdowns and three interceptions. All three were in the loss to the Lions, which was completely his fault. But the season was decided down the final stretch when the Cowboys went 1-4. During that stretch, Romo played his best.
lol ty take.
The ONLY situations where this happened were Jets/Lions.
As i posted, two games.
And they only lost the Division by one game, Multi .
Yeah, Romo did play bad in those losses to NY Jets and Det. Lions, but thats what happens when you don't have a reliable running game. When a qb is forced to throw the ball 35 plus times a game, some mistakes will occur especially against good teams. Romo isnt the reason why Cowboys missed out on the playoffs. The coaching staff needs to do a better job at putting the team in better situations to succeed. I really wish Romo had a running back other teamas feared. Felix is nothing but a backup, and DeMarco hasn't played a full season since like highschool. The D def didn't help either. Where was D. Ware against Eli and Brady's game winning drives against Dallas? The D-Line def needs adjustments as well. Spencer and Coleman didn't make plays when needed. Don't get me started on the secondary...
tbh Garrett isn't ever scared to pass more than 35 times a game, regardless of whether running is successful or not.
