I would like to see JA get into a shooting rhythm here is possible.
Couldn't agree more. We need that kid to perform to the best of his potential and become and additional weapon if we want to have a chance to sustain and build a good record without Manu

Many of you are ignoring the fact we've just played 5 games in 7 days, including a come from behind win against GSW (which saps energy), and we're on a b2b... what exactly did you expect on the road against the Thunder!?
You would like to see the Spurs show more control in these kind of games. It seems like they've had a tendency to get blown out in these types of games the past few years. You need to have resiliency to come from behind and play and win a game where you're losing by 20. It builds mental toughness. Unfortunately Pop likes to give up these types of games and then wonders why their mental midgets and missing the toughness. It's not just about shots going in or not going in but it's about finding a way to persevere even when shots are not falling.

No. Absolutely not. Tim's decline in FG% and Tony's are equally as bad and TP has looked every bit as bad as Tim. In fact, Tim has had more good games than TP. Whether or not Tim has been declining for several seasons doesn't take away from how TP looks and my observation that you tried to poke at even though I provided evidence to support my claims at this point in the season.

Player shape due to the lockout is irrelevant. Every player had the same lockout and abbreviated training camp and TP should be in better shape than most due to him playing overseas.

Saying the "wheels may have fallen off" with regards to Tim is every bit as overreacting as he claimed me to be when I made my observation of TP.
Its not the same at all, actually for the reasons I outlined above. If you want to say that seasons of decline is irrelevant thats fine but I'm not sure any objective person without an ax to grind would agree.

    thunder off a b2b2b
They also have a bunch of mid-20 year olds. One of them is a superstar.. we don't have ANYone close to the talent level of Durant with the youth that he has. We're also missing arguably our best player in Manu Ginobili.

Yep. Tony needs to step his ass up on the road or we will struggle to win ANY games away.

This is going to be a blowout in the second half with Duncan sitting most of it.

they're playing at home... tbh, you look at the free throw difference up to the 3rd quarter, and it was pretty even
I count almost 3 times when OKC traveled badly. Durant went 5 time to line, 3 of them where fantom bull calls

He needs to find his mojo offensively. Whether that means only using him in PnR situations or him developing a much more robust and confident post game. Right now hes kind of an offensive liability - although to be far hes flashed some offensive potential. So maybe he just needs more confidence and experience.

Well you're the type of guy that scoffs until Timvp says it (just like you trying to claim trading Hill wasn't a major move and scoffing me until Timvp agreed and you backed off...).

The only thing obvious is that unless you can prove it conclusively, your statement was pretty funny considering the context.
I still don't think trading Hill was a major move but I guess since I never went back to check the thread I'm a Timvp disciple or something.

I can definitely prove very conclusively that:

    a) Tim is much older than Tony
    b) Tim has been declining for many years while Tony has not
    c) Tim has played far more NBA games than Tony

Do you really need me to?

How simple-minded and/or woman-like does someone have to be to about the refs during a blowout?
No. Absolutely not. Tim's decline in FG% and Tony's are equally as bad and TP has looked every bit as bad as Tim. In fact, Tim has had more good games than TP. I know you sat there and thought hard about your retort. And the fact that this is all you came up with leads me to believe that you don't actually even buy into your own argument. Even though it's usually entertaining, I refuse to go in circles with you for the next 2 hours. If you actually think that Duncan and Parker are at similar points in their respective careers then I feel better about not having entered into a legitimate argument with you.

You believe its fair to compare their team to ours? Statistically I agree with you but when you look at the context of the situation...

I don't think anyone is ignoring that but fans generally want their teams to win and are dissapointed when they don't.
Yeah, I get that, but the tone around here is always that the team is EXPECTED to win which is a bit silly IMHO.

We had about a 10% chance of winning this game given tiredness and that the bench lifted us to to wins for the past 3 games.

What ax to grind? I made an observation, provided you statistical evidence and you made the ludicrous argument that unless you can prove something conclusively, it's a moot point.

No one is saying that Tim hasn't been declining, but what does that have to do with you overreacting and saying "the wheels may indeed be off" because of a short sample size in games? Is it not too early to tell? Do you not need to get back to us in a couple months and then we can decide?

For those reasons, I thought your comment was funny.

Say who is old ? Duncan had only 20 minutes yesterday. RJ, TP are still in their prime. Rest is young.

Damn, the thunder have a pretty deep team. Plenty of legit centers, athletic backcourt, long 3s..
