It's shocking really. Lawal looked a lot better than what Diogu showed. Pop must be after low post scoring, doesn't give a about defense in a big.

I think Lawal had offers waiting (he did sign right away with some overseas team.) Otherwise there is little to no justification for signing Diogu.

Lawal is bigger, stronger, defensively more capable. The major difference between the 2 is that Diogu has been hyped as a "post scorer" with no substance behind it. So maybe they went with offensive potential..
