Wimax and camera aren't working on the build for E3d, so I probably won't convert until that is rectified. On the TP, however, I will move over once I get a semi stable build.

I've always had Android phones but I would like to try out the Iphone. Though most of the specs are better for the Galaxy II plus has 4g, Apple generally has a better app store and is more user friendly. I don't have brand loyalty for phones.
Decisions, decisions.
I've used both, I prefer Android, but you'll be fine with either, tbh. Try it out at an apple store first if you haven't already.
The default Android keyboard for ICS is money. No need for Smart keyboard or SwiftKey, imo.
yah the ICS keyboard is a big upgrade....the browsing experience owns as well.
I have an iPad2 and my wife has a 4s. For my phone, I have an SGII Skyrocket.
I don't really consider the Apple app store to be much better than Android's, especially for the phone. Everything that I need for my phone, I can get on Android's market, and 90% of them are free, while probably 70-80% of the Apple apps will cost you at least a buck. It's pretty stupid that I had to pay $5 just to get an app on my iPad that can access my computer's media servers, while my Android already came with such an app, and there are several free ones.
After having had quite a while to use all these devices, I personally recommend Android, definitely. The big screen and ability to greatly customize your phone, makes it capable of doing more useful things IMO.
Air Video is only $3, and you can even stream media over 3g from your comp. What app are you using to access media on your comp?
I think the one I got was called 8player or something like that. There was one that was free, but only good for 3 plays, then I would have had to pay like $15, so that was pretty stupid.
You can always turn on Home Sharing in iTunes and just stream stuff from your comp, it works very well. If you use iTunes for media at all.
Manny, they announced the Nexus for Sprint. No date that I saw.

I think Manny recently bought a Motorola
Damn. I don't like the lack of a date. If I send back my Photon - which so far I really like - then I'll be in limbo. FML.
Question. And this is for at&t people that get those stupid above average data user texts. I had been getting bottlenecked. I got bottlenecked about two weeks into the cycle but it mysteriously opened up about a week back. I'm still downloading at 13mbps. Kinda weird. Don't know if I'm lucky or what.
I think that had more to do with AT&T changing their threshold for "excessive data usage" from who the knows to 3gb/billing period.
Sooooooooooo, I think my last post has been answered. Don't know about it. Didn't read about it, but I got a text yesterday specifying that 5gb is my(?) threshold before being bottlenecked. I'm slightly ok with that. Then again, I really haven't streamed radio as much as I normally do at work this month.
I got the AT&T warning on my unlimited after using 2.1GB last month since I was out of state and using my slingbox... My next iOS device is going to be Verizon... Even if it's a limited plan, I'm letting AT&T know what I think about their warnings and throttling with my wallet...
Verizon throttles as well, don't they?
Ehhh. Another false alarm.....
This was kind of old, but I didn't notice it until now.
Verizon actually throttles based on the tower's congestion. At&T instead puts a cap on your device's max speed until the next billing cycle, regardless of how congested is the network. It's a ing fraud to get you to switch to a non-unlimited plan.
Yeah, but apparently it was just an update to fix the last one. Apparently the release is going to be pretty soon. This update was to make sure ICS would update correctly. It did change a couple of things. The screen lock is different and a few of the stock icons have changed.
