Athletes of been thanking God since like the dawn of sports. , even boxers have thanked God for giving them the talent and strength to beat the out of another human being, just like actors thank God for giving them to ability to pretend to be something they are not (when they win Oscars and such).
Tebow may be particularly outspoken about his beliefs, but I fail to see how it's any different than the thousands of times this has been done before him.
