Tony had some bad TOs in the 4th but it was good to see him attacking and finishing again. We lost this game because our defense is a joke and it doesn't help when Pop keeps playing the turd towers.
Spurs D nowadays is hope for the other team miss. In the last 5 the only opponent that not shoot over 50% was Dallas.
attacking and finishing????? when was this????

And the play before he went early in the offense with his hero shot and missed everything... on that turnover, he was back at dribbling dribbling instead of running the offense... he played well most of the game, but his execution at the end was horrible for an "experienced" point guard
YES! This has always been my biggest gripe with Tony. He's a score first point guard, it's maddening.

    What I wouldn't give for a Tony/Nash trade.

There were a few assist opportunities that Parker was too slow to capitalize on. Damn shame that TJ Ford went down too.

    Yikes...

Are we still on the George Hill > TP BS? Does anyone recall that game when Hill had a lot of TO's when he played point? If Manu's not on the floor with him, Hill sucks at being a PG.
I'm not on this. But I am on trade TP.

Did you even see the replay of where he turned the ball over?? His arm was slapped from behind. Jennings didn't even touch the ball.
What about him coming down the court after the Kawai steal and bricking a jumper 8 seconds into the shot clock? Letting Jennings break him down on the other end? Trotting down the court on the last play after a jumpball with Milwaukees defense scrambling? This guy is one of the worst PGs when it comes to managing games, always has been.

Oh you mean that wide open 15-footer?? What a horrible "hero mode". A smarter more experienced play would have been to pass up the open shot and hope to find Matt Bonner later in the possession.

That wasn't a "hero" shot. It was a wide open shot that he normally knocks down. And it would have given the Spurs the lead. You're acting like a

meh jennings hit some really tough shots that you really can't defend.

The turnovers and late game execution were disappointing but tp was pretty gassed by the end of the game from being the only creator on offense and chasing jennings around all game.

It's just one of those games where you really really miss manu. Can't really be that mad at tp for this one.

Oh, I'm sorry, you must have missed the 10-18 shooting night with 8 assists. Mother er could walk on water and it still wouldn't be enough for illiterate community college spurs fan.

    Hilarious! (Sad but true! )

I was wondering since teams have figured that attacking constantly the PnR with Duncan is effective nowadays, I would be thrilled to see Tiago getting Duncan's usual cover while BOTH being on the court. Timmy would still be able to anchor the defense right?

7 turnovers...including 1 in the final minute. Just sayin...

This wasn't totally Parker's fault, team as a whole played horrendous defense and missed WAY too many FT's to expect to win a close game.

Jennings made a good, desperate defensive play and poked the ball lose. Parker didn't cost the Spurs this game. The Spurs let the Bucks hang around and it bit them in the end.

Parker insists on holding the ball for the first 15 seconds then makes some stupid decision with the clock running down. Spurs ball movement is horrible with Parker as the primary playmaker.

GMAB. He's too slow to get to the rim out of the set offense. Is that not blatently clear???? Now it's dribble...dribble... make move to basket...get stopped...move back out...dribble...dribble...shoot

First of all, who else on this team would have even had a chance to guard Jennings?

The pull up jumper after the Kawhi steal was a damn good shoot that just didn't go in.

Jennings clearly fouled TP on the turnover. That's a call the Bucks get at home. Same with Timmy's charge. No huge gripe there.

TP was confused because he thought Pop would call a TO after the jumpball but he didnt. Wasn't a good looking play but the spurs got a wide open 3pt attempt from their best 3pt shooter this year.

RJ missed, that happens. But Carlos ing Delfino is hitting step back 25 footers all night.

    Gimme a ing break Spurfan.

I don't expect him to do everything. I think overall he had a good game.
That doesn't mean he wasn't awful in the 2nd quarter and the clutch.

The reason you don't take that shot is because you have absolutely nobody to rebound the miss. You don't close out games taking wimpy jumpshots. It's the reason GOOD closers attack the basket. You score or get fouled.

And no comment about the incessant dribbling in that turnover play? Go watch it again. Protect the ing basket. This isn't rocket science.

I guess asking him to outplay Jennings closing out a game is too much these days.

Wow how can you guys harp on Tony's defense. He was running around like a madman all game chasing Jennings through screen after screen. Jennings hit some very tough shots. Tony played well enough for our team to win, but defensively everyone outside of Tim, Tony, and Leonard (kind of) played like complete dog , especially Blair. The TOs for Tony were a problem this game, but he attacked the pain relentlessly and looked for his teammates.

Many of you are getting pathetic with the Tony bashing. It's as if you don't understand how basketball works, let alone the offensive scheme for the Spurs...

If our team shoots about 60% for the game, and Tony is hounding Jennings all game, then it's a good bet that we didn't lose because he made a few turnovers at the end. Idiots.
