Yeah, he has, which is why I'm not going to take TOO much out of it.
I don't think he's been to Arkansas on game day, but DGB has gotten to see each of his finalists at least two times if you exclude Alabama. I think he's being genuine when he says he's seen all he needs to see so official visits aren't all that important. It's just nice that he won't be around other Arkansas recruits close to National Signing Day (assuming he doesn't skip that tournament).

How does Jake Oliver feel about Texas? After watching some videos, I really like him in the 2013 class, but I read his father played and coached at A&M. Not sure how much that will factor into his decision.
I honestly think Texas is the sentimental favorite and I'm not ruling out an early commitment from him. He showed great interest this year by attending several games. You're correct about his father but there's never been any indication that he's a die-hard Aggie when it comes to his son. I believe Oliver's older brother is currently enrolled at OU so there's not this overwhelming pressure for him to choose A&M. Wyatt has done a nice job with this recruitment and don't forget Wylie played under Oliver's father at Sam Houston State. There are some good connections at work.

My top 3 in NO particular order is: Texas A&M TCU Ohio State #Hollaaaa10x
Anyone think he's laying low right now because of the Flenory talk? If he follows through with his visits to A&M and Ohio State, his only available weekend to visit Oregon is the 20th-21st before NSD rolls around. We'll see if he re-schedules.

    Good stuff, thanks.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think DGB was at the Arkansas-Auburn game in Arkansas.

I'm pretty sure DGB visited Arkansas for the Auburn game in Oct. If memory serves correct he was already in area for a game Friday night and slipped there for game next day - so it did not count as his official.

I like Robinson, I buy into some of the hype, but wow did he lay an egg in his junior film. I trust Coach Searels, but I personally like Perkins, Wilson and Gustafson better at OT.

Thanks to you and ColinB. I didn't know for sure. I knew he played an actual game in Razorback Stadium, but wasn't positive if he stayed in Fayetteville.

I'd like to see the staff target Gustafson either way. Everything I read on that guy talks about how mean he is on the field.

    lol tech
lol greatest win in history came in regular season
lol getting ass rammed on a yearly basis

yeah but we win with 3-star recruits, compared to Texas gettin nothing but 4 and 5 stars. Texas gets the top 5 recruiting class every season for the past decade and only has one national le to show for it haha JOKE.

well, as long as you have a good reason for getting your ass whipped year in and year out, then i guess you are right.

That's typical Tech fan for you. They run mouths, predict that the Red Raiders are going to win before the game, and then Texas beats their ass. You ask Raider fan what happened after the game and they tell you: "Well Texas is supposed to beat Tech with all the recruits the Horns get." That's a verbatim quote from an actual Texas Tech graduate.

You can never win those people. There are two kinds of Tech students: 1) Kids from the Panhandle and West Texas 2) Suburban kids who couldn't get into Texas.

(Aside: I love Tech fans for the very reason that most people dislike them. They are BRUTAL. I'm talking Philly fans bad. How can you not be entertained by their blatant disregard of class, civility, politeness and sportsmanship?)

WVU @ Tech could possibly be the most fascinating fan match up in college football history. The bleacher throwers vs. the couch burners. Bring. It. On.

Also, this past season is one of the few times Texas has "kicked our ass". It was the first time Texas beat Tech by more than 2 possesions since 05. BTW, I at least graduated from the school I root for instead of 90% of Texas fans all being T-shirt fans and have no affiliation with the school.

    Some visit updates...

**DE Mario Edwards will be taking his official visit to Florida State this weekend and still plans on going to LSU next weekend. Once those visits are over, head coaches will do their in-home visits before a National Signing Day decision.

**Two guys that have yet to receive Junior Day invites from Texas are 2013 LB Brett Wade and 2013 ATH Laquvionte Gonzalez. Wade will be visiting Oklahoma State and Gonzalez will be at A&M the last weekend in January.

**2013 ATH Ricky Seals-Jones will be attending LSU's Junior Day on February 4th.

I was keeping my fingers crossed that Edwards didn't make that LSU visit, but it looks like it's happening. I hope the visit hurts FSU's chances somehow.

The Brett Wade news is pretty interesting. Texas has some depth in the middle, but I really like Wade. I think he's a take regardless of numbers. Edmond to Wade is a damn good transition. I think Wade commits early if Texas is interested.

Since when is that a requisite?? I am a Cowboys fan but Ive never been to Cowboys University, why should college football be any different?? My brother has lived in Austin all his life but goes to Texas St, does that mean he can only be a Texas St fan and not a Texas fan??

Also, 90% (just throwing random percentages since it seems like its allowed to win dumb arguments) of Texas Tech students were fans of some other school before they became Tech fans.

Jgome, what college team did you cheered for before you went to college?? Texas?? A&M??? LSU??

Glad RSJ is going to the LSU visit before the Texas visit, he may just pull the trigger in February 12th since by then he has been to both schools.

Using jgome21's math, only 10% of Texas fans went to Texas. There are about 500,000 living Texas Exes. So that means there are 5,000,000 loyal Texas fans. That works great for the highest grossing and most valuable athletic department in the country. Keep buying merchandise and tickets "t-shirt" fans. Your money is just as green as a Texas Ex's.

For the record I graduated from The University of Texas in 2009.

You can root for whoever, it just loses validity when you talk trash and don't have any affiliation with the university. I just find it hilarious how ppl go to Tx St or UTSA and call themselves "Longhorns". I guess it's a San Antonio thing.

Still don't understand why Tech and A&M fans are so obsessed with this. It's like saying if you havent worked for the San Antonio Spurs organization, if you are merely a fan, you are a got fan, and not a legit fan.
