Gasol was 0-12 without Kobe. Was he a top big man then too? Didn't the Spurs sweep him a few times?

Rodman is a HOFer. Hardly chop liver. MJ's squads had plenty of good bigmen and 1st team all NBA defenders at 3 positions. Quit acting like MJ had some scrub bigs.

This debate ain't over until Kobe retires. MJ has 6 - he done. Kobe's final chapter hasn't been written yet.
With Memphis? Come on, dude..don't be a dumbass..

Rodman is a PF...6'9" is not a big man...and they got 72 when he was there..pure domination...Kobe won't ever touch that, not even with D12 on his side.

Kobe will never be MJ...this book is closed, dusty, and is about to be free on Kindle.

No we don't. OTOH, Kobe won without Shaq. Quit moving the goal post.
And Shaq won without Kobe..not seeing your point on this. So you think the greatest of all time wouldn't have won without Scottie? Scottie never won without MJ...if you truly think Jordan couldn't have done it without Pip, you need to go drown yourself in a toilet...which might be comfortable for you, since pretty much everything you've said in this thread is .

It's not closed until Kobe submits his retirement papers. Until that time the book is wide open.

MJ: 0 rings during Showtime era. He failed every single time until Scottie evolved into an all star. MJ won rings during NBA expansion.

Kobe won rings when zones were made legal. Kobe also won back to back rangs without a hall of fame teammate.
I'm sure Pau will be in the HoF. Probably not for his NBA accomplishments, but for sure as an international player. You could say the same about Arvydas Sabonis who is in the HoF or Yao Ming who will get there.
Thus, your argument is likely invalid

And about your latter coment about Pau's 0-12 with Memphis, you could definitely argue that Kobe on the other side needs a dominant big to ring. What did he do without Shaq and Pau? Missing the playoffs or getting busted in the first round. Case closed. And yes, Kobe rang without Shaq... but also Shaq rang without Kobe.

My bone to pick with MJ is his chronologic failure to ring without Pippen aside him. Just because Media has declared this empirical off limits doesn't me I do.
When has kobe ever won without the best big men in the league on his team. From Shaq to Gasol/Bynum/Odom, never changes. Tee, hee.

Whats truly amazing is when you watch Jordan in the press conference, you realize how much Kobe Bryant copied even his speech pattern.

Dan Bickley (sports writer who wrote the "Return of the Gold" book) questioned him about this and Kobe said it was just a coincidence. Bickley pushed him and Kobe said his speech pattern came from his father.

    Sure Kobe.
