Why do we give a huge about politicians' faith/religion? Liberals are huge hypocrites on this. They about separation of church and state yet they want to make a big deal about a person's religion. Why not just be respectful and let a person believe in whatever they want or not believe in anything?
If they were smart, they would want an evangelical republican over another republican so they can point out hypocrisy when it happens.
According to Democracy Corps, for the first time in two years the Democratic Party has taken the lead on the generic congressional ballot, 47%-44%. The bad news for the GOP is that Independents have shifted back to the Democratic Party. In the previous surveys congressional Republicans led congressional Democrats by a net 9 points in October and 19 points in August with Independents, but today Democrats have taken a two point lead.
Why have the Democrats surged? The answer is that the behavior of Republicans in Congress has turned off voters. By a margin of 53%-39% respondents said the more they watched the Republicans in Congress, the less they like what they are offering. Approval of Republicans in Congress has dropped to a new low of 28%, and 8% strongly approve of the Republican caucus.
If congressional Republicans are hurting the GOP brand, the party’s 2012 presidential candidates may be making things even worse. By a margin of 53%-38% respondents said the more they watch the GOP nomination, the less they like what the Republican Party has to offer. Frontrunner Mitt Romney is not personally popular with Republicans or Independents. Only 31% of Republicans and 27% of Independents had warm feelings for Romney. Republicans are cold on Romney, and they are ready to bolt to a third party candidate.
18%-25% of Republicans and Republican leaners surveyed said that they would vote for a conservative third party candidate, and if that candidate was Ron Paul, Romney’s general election support would collapse.

plenty of smart people have flunked easy classes. some of the brightest people i know in terms of IQ did not do well in school.I think Perry is significantly dumber than Bachmann even. Did you see his college transcript where he was taking high school level physics classes and still only pulling Cs? Or pulling a D on high school math while in college?
Perry was a pilot in the airforce and the standardized tests that they have to take are very difficult, given that they are handling planes that are more expensive than what you will make in a lifetime.

The HUGE is that many of the right wing politicians and "Christian" assholes lie about the Cons ution's establishment clause, LIE about the faith of the FFs, some even want to replace the Bill of Rights and Cons ution with 10 Commandments, want to ESTABLISH formally, to the exclusion (and no doubt persecution, as we see with Muslim persecution) of all other religions, their ed up, un-Christ-like, OT-dominated idea of Christianity as the official USA religion.
iow, the right-winger Christian Taleban want to establish a "Christian" theocracy that would legislate morality, and no doubt they would find the funds to police and prosecute what they think are moral crimes.

Yeah tbh anyone who takes "college algebra" (aka high school math) in college and gets less than a B (they should be getting an A) isn't the brightest crayon in the box. It's a class smart people take their junior year of high school.
It's not the same; the algebra he took and got a C in was the stuff high school students take sop re year now. A&M put trig (the HS junior level ) in a separate class and he got a D.
I made an A in college algebrah and I only showed up on test days.

My cousin who is a surgeon got a c in algebra and a 37 on his MCAT. I'm sorry.

it was a 78 or something iirc. he didn't get a d in it like Perry and it wasn't a low c, but it was a c nonetheless. he never applied himself to it. he took a 5 year break from school, worked as a car salesman, and took the upper level courses when he came back, aced them all, and took the MCAT when he was 28.
i know i kid who is a certified genius who couldn't pass English comp. 1 or basic math. he was autistic and never showed up to class, or showed up late when he did. some of you guys are lol. some of the brightest people who have ever lived have had trouble in school. my granfather never finished HIGH SCHOOL and went on to create a business, which he sold, that was worth $50 million in the 70's.
i keep hearing people say this but the failure never has anything to do with them trying but the system being flawed but rather with them being lazy s or just not smart. Looking at your posting history, I am guessing that to you smart is people that come to the same conclusions as you.
