Maybe NO should trade Brees for Eli so NO can have a shot at a SB with that stacked team. Sucks it goes to waste with that TOSB of a QB.
Man, son. How 'bout all the shooting Kobe is doing this year? And all the freethrows he's getting despite not driving to the basketball? It's like the NBA is actively trying to manufacture his ascent up the all-time scoring list, the next name to be surpassed on the list being LSU great Shaquille O'Neal.
They're salivating for that headline, "Kobe passes Shaq!"
Disgusting.

And you got swept with a Timmy double, the Mamba, Bynum and Artest....
How ty can your franchise get?
Yeah, but Kobe couldn't win a playoff series sans Daddy until Gasol settled in LA.

Though it ended up:::
Kobe: 2
Daddy: 1
Because of Gasol's arrival. Kobe's bread ain't got no butter without him.
You got swept by the Suns and then followed in up with 8.
Talk about ty.
Though Gasol couldn't win a single playoff game till Kobe took him in.
He did. Do you deny it?![]()
That changes EVERYTHING![]()
Yeah. When Camby was in Denver, he'd guard Duncan. In Portland, Sheed would guard him. Shawn Bradley/Diop in Dallas. Kurt Thomas in Phoenix when they acquired him. Just because he abused the much smaller Robert Horry since Shaq was too fat and slowfooted to stop Duncan, doesn't mean it was the order of things for all teams.
But yeah, it would make sense for the opposing team to put their biggest and best interior defender on an ancient David Robinson, Nazr Mohammed, or Rasho![]()
Pop hid Duncan against Shaq during the 1st 3 qtrs. He did guard Shaq in the 4th though. Why? Because when the games on the line Shaq ain't the same player. That's why Kobe closed for us. Pop hid him on players like Horry - otherwise he'd foul out.
Duncan feasted on players 3-4" smaller than him. Smart, tbh. Made him a HOFer.![]()
Lay the smacketh down Cully ...
son at least he took his ty Memphis Grizzlies to the playoffs. what did Kobe do during that 3 and a half year span when he didn't have daddy there? oh yea that's right! he didn't do !!!
Kobe as team leader without Shaq or Gasol ...
2004-05
Lakers: 34-48 (failed to even make playoffs)
2005-06
Lakers: 45-37 (stomped out by PHX in first round)
2006-07
Lakers: 42-40 (stomped out by PHX again in first round)
2007-08
Kobe cries to be traded because he knows he can't lead a team so Stern sends him Gasol and the Lakers immediately hit a 10 game winning streak that started on Gasol's third game as a Laker and they finish the season 27-9 since Gasol's arrival.
Lay the smacketh down son ...
Just make sure you lay off Timmy![]()
Oh he won't
Plus he's seething mad I put money on the 49ers this weekend![]()
TD can still pull out a vintage TD game....props to him. It's awesome to watch thats for sure....![]()
But all we had was Timmy.
We didn't have Timmy + Kobe + Bynum
So...
Shaq couldn't win a single le till Kobe took him in.
MJ couldn't win a single le till Pippen took him in
Kobe never won a single le without Fisher.
Alex Smiff with the calculated BOMB on them ain'ts!![]()
He's still a tired old bag, but, last night he looked pisser.
teams still have to double team 34 year old Duncan
^Quite an accomplishment for a tired old bag I'll grant ya.
