LOL 7 game series = stomp out ...![]()
sons I posted this in another thread, but for those of you not viewing it I didn't want you to miss these truth bombs.
what did Kobe do during that 3 and a half year span when he didn't have daddy there? oh yea that's right! he didn't do !!!
Kobe as team leader without Shaq or Gasol ...
2004-05
Lakers: 34-48 (failed to even make playoffs)
2005-06
Lakers: 45-37 (stomped out by PHX in first round)
2006-07
Lakers: 42-40 (stomped out by PHX again in first round)
2007-08
Kobe cries to be traded because he knows he can't lead a team so Stern sends him Gasol and the Lakers immediately hit a 10 game winning streak that started on Gasol's third game as a Laker and they finish the season 27-9 since Gasol's arrival.
lol 2 shots in the entire 2nd half of an elimination game...
Don't listen to the haters, son. Preach on.
lol sons he led the Lakers to a 121-125 record during the 3 seasons without Shaq.
I knew he was pathetic as a leader, but I didn't realize it was that bad.
Damn BR, I don't usually see eye to eye with you but you came with the straight up stone cold facts on this one son! BR may have made the thread/post of the year with this one! Props!![]()
It's a stomp out when you are up 3 games to 1 and you lose.
... never saw this stat before.

How meaningful is the OP when the player many feel is the greatest ever did this:
What did Jordan do when he didn't have Pippen? He didn't do !
1984-85 Chicago Bulls: 38-44 record (No Pippen = below .500)
Lost 3-1 to Bucks 1st round
1986-87 Chicago Bulls: 40-42 record (No Pippen = below .500)
Swept 3-0 by Celtics 1st round
1987-88 Chicago Bulls: Above .500 - (Pippen and Horace Grant join team)
Lost 2nd round 4-1 to Pistons
1988-89 Chicago Bulls:
Lost East Finals 4-2 to Pistons
1989-90 Chicago Bulls:
Lost East Finals 4-3 to Pistons
The Bulls were a below .500 team until Pippen and Grant joined the team. Then even with Pippen and Grant the Bulls were -slapped three years in a row by the Motor City.
The greatest players have all failed at times. Doesn't mean . In sports how many times you succeed is what matters.

lmao at you trying to justify Kobe's suck-ass-ness by comparing his 9th, 10th, and 11th years in the NBA to Jordan's first five years. son do you really want to go this route? I'll leave it that for now to save you some embarrassment, but if you push it then I'll be forced to whip out even more TRUTH BOMBS that expose Kobe as the true, role playing that he is.
Son how did you do that?![]()
son even the sun shines on a dogs ass every now and then.
Laker fans these are the facts, not opinions. you can't argue with the stats.
don't be mad because I just wrecked your boy harder than Victor Ortiz has been smashing Vanessa Bryant behind Kobe's back.
Not hard to do....

Those failures actually covered Jordan's first 6 seasons. He was injured most of year 2. Do you mean how in comparison Kobe was wearing three rings after his first 6 seasons?
Bottom line is the greatest players didn't win without talent around them. Not Jordan, not Kobe, not Magic, Not Bird, not Kareem....and your spin is laughable and nothing more than pandering to the lowest common denominator.
Once upon a time there was this 17 year old phenom that was drafted by the Hornets. They did not believe in his talent so they traded him away for Vlade Divac.
This teenager would go on to win scoring les, rangs, and is now a first ballot HOFer. Meanwhile the Hornets might not exist after 2012-2013 season and the teenager is now a grown man that holds grudges. This is evidenced by busting their asses when he plays them. This phenom is now on a perennial contender.
Who knows what could have bee if that teenage phenom didn't get traded away. We will never know. But as a Laker fan, I thank the dumbasses in the Hornets' FO everyday.
The End

Nicely done BR.
Also while Shaq was with the Lakers in about 100 games that Cryant was out, Shaq won at an 80% clip.
The opposite, Shaq out-Kobme in? Laker Boi was at his customary .500
Just a small difference here.
Number of non-injured seasons Micheal Jordan played that he wasn't the leader on the Bulls: 0.
Number of seasons Kobe Bryant played with Shaq that he was the leader on the Lakers: 0.
namlook took a on this thread.
We're going to have to start handing out Namlook awards...He brought that fire that lit BR's ass up

.473 FG%, 16.1 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 5.2 apg, 2 stl, 0 MVP, 0 Finals MVP
.582 FG%, 23.7ppg, 10.9rpg, 2.5 apg, 2.3 blk, 1 MVP, 3 Finals MVP
when your argument revolves around making an analogue between pippen and shaq, you've already lost.
cherry picking stats is especially re ed, considering that Jordan trumps kobe in every single category except TO (oh wait, less is better, my mistake).
Pippen was an even better defender than Shaq...Shaq's numbers are inflated because of Kobe and Kobe's numbers suffer because of Shaq...![]()
