Fixed it for ya. During the last decade Kobe has started to play defense only if he wants to. The young Kobe was a very good defender, but since 2004, 2005 (around that) he has fallen of a cliff. Seriously, all of these All Defense Team selections were utterly bull . You don't deserve such a selection if you play defense only every fifth game or so. And his MVP was a reward for career accomplishments. Chris Paul deserved it way more back then.
And no, I'm not a Kobe hater, he's lock in my personal Top 10. But unlike some Kobe fanbois in here, I'm not blinded by his stat padding.
I get you are trolling but this is one of your weaker efforts. you say he rides coat-tails but you give him all the blame for losses and none of the praise for the wins. You credit a proven playoff failure (pau until he joined Kobe) for the recent les, you just all over the map. At least Midnight makes a case for Magic or MJ ... this argument is weaker than the LSU passing game or the Saints defense

Right now Kobe has the highest usage rate of all time: 39.9%.
No other player has ever used the ball on as many possessions per game as Kobe is doing right now this season. It's significantly higher than that 2005-06 season. And he's definitely scoring less than he did that season.
I think this pretty much seals the chucker argument.
