LOL... though, in case you missed it, it's technically it is no longer Colbert's Super PAC, it's "The Definitely Not Coordinated With Stephen Colbert Super PAC" with Jon Stewart running it.

Colbert announced Thursday he has form an "Exploratory Committee to Lay The Groundwork for His Possible Candidacy for The President Of the United States of South Carolina" so he had to give up control of the Super PAC.
Good TV, but also interesting to see how this plays out. Yeah, it kind of makes a mockery of our political system... but I think it's what our political system needs.
Didn't realize Colbert was on This Week to talk about his "Exploratory Committee"

Stephanopholis (sp?) was the guest on Colbert Thursday when he "announced"
this is going well for colbert. interview was solid. he can sometimes destroy people or take it easy. this was easy, not like laura ingraham when he destroyed her and by the time it was over she had no idea it had happened
Colbert is super sharp, thinks fast on his feet and speaks well; is an outstanding interviewer and a charming interviewee.
What he's doing right now is genius at a higher level than most other self declared geniuses can even understand.
humor resembles the free grace of god in that respect -- total free gift -- at least so long as the TV, radio and internet remain in good working order and the print media occasionally deigns to report the truth.

good one, WhineHo!
Jon Huntsman Family Concerned About Comparisons To Colbert
Colbert is attempting to run in South Carolina as a write-in candidate, but cannot get official votes: he's not on the ballot and there is no space for write-ins. But he has run even with Huntsman in some polling and it was that comparison that the family wanted to avoid

Colbert's campaign shows how insultingly brain-dead Willard Gecko's talking points and entire approach to what WG thinks he must say to the dumb right-wingers to get elected.
On the show last night, Colbert encouraged his supporters to vote for Herman Cain, who remains on the ballot in SC, and he would take those votes as a signal of whether he would continue to run for president. This could turn out to be a total show for the GOP - if Herman Cain gets a large % of votes the damage control will be epic. In SC, you don't need to be a registered Republican to vote in the Republican primary - I could see people turning out in droves to "vote for Cain".
colbert is one of the funniest people alive on the planet today.
Colbert isn't going to account for a lot of votes. If he gets above 5%, it would be amazing.
http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/m...ationally.htmlStephen Colbert wants to run for President but he's not on the ballot in South Carolina. Americans Elect is on the ballot in a lot of states but doesn't have a candidate. Could Colbert and Americans Elect's interests intersect? We find Colbert getting 13% in a hypothetical third party run for President, compared to 41% for Obama and 38% for Romney. A Colbert bid could be a blessing in disguise for the GOP. His voters go for Obama over Romney 52-38 in a straight head to head, so his presence as a potential candidate works to the Republicans' advantage.
Stephen Colbert endorses Ron Paul
