Can the Pats get revenge for 2009? Or will they turn the ball over in stunning fashion again? Only one way to find out...

Interesting game. I wonder if the Ravens can slow down the passing game. The Ravens don't have to worry about the run and they should move the ball some against the Pats. Still, I can't pick them winning at New England. I think home field makes the difference. If this game was in Baltimore, I would go with the Ravens. Unless the Pats lose the turnover battle, I don't see them losing.

Pretty much this. Wacko-Flacco as always, is the wildcard here. He was 14/25 for 176, 2 tds, 0 ints last week--only looking at the boxscore you'd think that was a pretty decent game, but he was ing awful. Standing in the pocket way too long, not protecting the ball, and taking sacks that knocked his team out of FG range. The play-calling by Cam Cameron was atrocious too (surprise, surprise).

If they get Ray Rice 20-25 carries this game then I like their chances. Flacco needs to be efficient like he was against the 49ers--his stats were very low that game but I honestly believe it's the best game he ever played. He was decisive, accurate, quick, mistake-free--and for the first time--was great on 3rd-and-longs.

I'm still picking the Ravens, but I'm afraid that Cameron might be tempted to pass all day against their porous secondary, and go away from what normally wins them games.

pretty simple. if you hit brady he is mediocre. if you let him sit back relax let him pick you apart you will get raped. you cant just play coverage and beat them that way, unless its rex ryan. the ravens receivers have to show up. they traded for a bunch of them and they have all been failures.

Torrey Smith's been pretty good for a rookie and had some big catches, tbh. His insane speed means you gotta keep a safety back, helping RR out.

As DD said, if Cam Cameron gets the mix of run and pass plays right, the Ravens will be tough to beat. If they can get some early success with the run, that sets it up for Boldin and Torrey Smith to make the weak NE secondary pay. However, if Flacco has anywhere close to as many pass attempts as Brady will have, he will make more mistakes and end up hurting the Ravens.

Defensively the Ravens have the tools to pressure Brady. It comes down to how much time the O-line gives Brady. This will be a fairly even battle IMO ... the Pats will not dominate, neither will they get shut down. The Ravens D wasn't exactly stellar vs TJ Yates and the Texans.

A balanced, mistake-free Ravens offense that controls the TOP should win this for them.

    Tough one to call.

If the Ravens can overcome Camerons calls and Flacco does not go too Whacko, they'll win.

Ray Lewis planting his helmet up Gronkos and Tom Dolls asses will help too.

Btw Reed is playing, at what % is he really? That is another key to me.

Whatever his name is. Gronkos is close enough. Everyone knows who I'm talking about.

    Cameron-Flacco don't screw this up.

Ravens. Too many pass happy teams. I don't like watching one dimensional teams much. It has sucked for me lately because my favorite position to watch is RB. I want all the big name passing teams out. :P

I think Flacco's best game ever was week 1 against Pittsburgh this year but Pittsburgh was horrible to start the year so who knows. The fact either game is considered one of his best games ever is a joke. Boldin's lack of production in Baltimore is really a huge indictment on Flacco and Cameron given he was more productive with Matt Leinart as his QB and Denny Green as his head coach.

I agree with Ln that this game is a close call that's almost impossible to make a prediction on. One good playoff game from Brady and the O-line doesn't completely erase the bad playoff games they had from 2007 till now, but the O-line is much better now than it was in the 09 game against Baltimore. Assuming the O-line does OK, Brady needs to do what he did last week and not force the ball to Welker. Gronk and Hernandez should be his top 2 targets and there should be a lot of play action. I have no idea how good Bernard Pollard is this year but him being on the field is something to worry about.

On defense, even though Flacco is more of a passing threat than Tebow, es should be playing on nearly every down and Guyton should be a healthy scratch again. Their run D is so much better when es is on the field and it's not like their pass D suddenly becomes good with Fletcher or Guyton. Their secondary still sucks but Baltimore doesn't have the passing game or receivers to expose their lack of depth at corner beyond McCourty and Arrington. The amount of pressure Ninkovich, Anderson, Ellis, and Wilfork force is basically the X-factor there.

    I say New England 24 Baltimore 21
