If Spurs amnesty RJ next summer and if Tim takes a paycut, Spurs will have a lot of cap space (think at more than $10M).
Plus hopefully get a really promising offensive big in the draft at PF.

Hmmm. Maybe if Tim signs for a discount, we can flip RJ for a big. We're certainly never a FA destination of choice. Utah may be looking to shed Al J's contract, having Milsap, Favors and Kanter as bigs. They only signed Josh Howard for a year.
Interesting. The Hoops Hype site shows Green as a FA, but they also show Neal as a FA, and he's definitely signed for another year. The RealGM trade checker shows both Neal AND Green signed for another year. Players like Tim and TJ are shown as becoming FAs this summer, and we know that's correct.
and he is smart....that score goes to 99.9%
I guess we gotta give props to Danny Ferry who got the kid from Cleveland.
No, I doubt he draws anywhere near that kind of interest. But he will cost considerably more than 880k.
Quarter closing machine tbh.

those were some awesome buzzer beaters.
Right now, Lebron's chest is covered in steaming Green doodoo butter.
"I got your buzzer beater 3 right here."
Can someone post his contract situation?
LeBron: I miss the days when you were just my dancing partner.
The good news is, he went 6-7 from the 3P line and has moved up to 5th on the list of 3P shooters.
The bad news is, no steals, no blocks, and no assists.
After the game, Sean was talking about how badly we miss Manu, and he said that Manu is one of the best at making the crowd sit down and be quiet. That's what teams have to have on the road. Making steals, blocking shots, forcing turnovers - those things shut down the crowd, and the opponent's momentum. Green's 3's just kept pace with (a few of) the ones the Heat made.
Green needs to be more Manu and less Gary Neal. Nice game for the young guy, but I'm skipping church again.
I'll say this, though: Green misses a fast break layup, and he's a goat. Kawhi misses a dunk, and people here don't jump ship. Green gets schooled by LeBron on a 3P shot, and he's a goat. Kawhi does exactly the same thing, and it's no big deal. I'm not bashing Kawhi at all. I just get puzzled by some of the hard markers on ST, and their inconsistent hate.
the only reason we are still in the game expecially with the bench is green is doing most of the scoring...we dont need green to be doing point/foward duties like FKN REGRESSED NEAL, thats not their job....wtf are ppl blaming green for lebrons hot shooting, it was all KL in the 3rd,...
green is not like manu and shouldnt be anything like manu, his not the type that creates plays for other guys, his more effective receiving the ball either being a spot up shooter or creating for himself
NEAL has starting to become like bonner and RJ on the fkn court, just another player on the court making up the numbers running up and down like a horse show boating to pop how pretty they are
Do you ever read the things you fire back replies to? Look... really... closely. I think it was pretty obvious to anyone that I was talking exclusively about Green's defense, and how important those defensive plays are on the road. I don't care whether points are scored by someone "creating" or by someone else standing at the 3P line - they don't stop the other team's momentum. Defense does.
Do you really think that you are somehow the only person who can figure out that Danny Green doesn't play offense like Manu? Are you really that arrogant, or do you just take some pleasure from posting obnoxious ?
I'll say it again. If Green is going to be a difference-maker in road games like this one, it will be with defense. He didn't come up with any of those plays tonight. I really like the kid... I'm still skipping church.
Green can't do it all ... its really unreasonable for you to expect him to match the production of a healthy Manu. At this point for a 2nd round pick in essentially his rookie season I think carrying the offense for an entire half is well exceeding expectations.
Exactly. You're not going to win too many games by trying to outshoot teams on the road. Defense, however, will win games on the road.
Scoring only 7 points in the first 10 minutes of the 3rd quarter on the road ain't exactly gonna help the cause, either.
Danny Green's game reminds me of Doug Christie
Can you imagine how bad that would have been in previous years when they would just keep shooting contested three pointer after contested three pointer with no defense?
Bump
I don't think anyone should get too excited about Green's point total tonight. Streaky shooters will have good and bad games. It's not fair to point to any one performance as indicative of his offensive impact.
That being said, I think Green and Leonard have so much defensive potential together. Green shut down Mayo, which allowed Leonard to provide good help. You add that to the fact that they outscored the Big Three, and a New Two may be forming.
