He suddenly inserted Splitter when it finally became obvious to him that Gasol and Randolph were killing Blair and Dice. 2006 was taking a team built for the playoffs and removing their interior defense and rebounding. 2011 was taking a team built for the regular season into a bad playoff matchup.
